Here when we have Ice and Snow storms sometimes the police are just overwhelmed with things and tell everyone not to call them if there is no injury. I've been known to buy their coffee and donuts now and then. They will stop by the house when I'm out in the yard to see how things are going. They are not bothersome here even when I'm carrying the 9mm where they can see it.
