i have mixed feelings about it all really.... but the sounds of it.... unfortunately some have taken upon themselves to help the efforts by opening up a bar with stolen goods....

It was also said that the Southern Deceadance is still happening.... so i am afraid that some will not learn...

I am sure we all have our opinion of what should happen...my opinion or position is to pray about it and let the Lord do His will. He is the only one truly in control.

No question the city should be rebuilt. It has more culture than any other city.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have to agree with you.

But about Culture, I don't know what you mean by that......?

Culture?

I'd say Washington D.C had more culture than NO.

Maybe that's only historically wise. :emot-hug:

When God judges a city or place it is presumptuous to try to rebuild it.  Think of what happened to the one who rebuilt Jericho.  (Jos 6:26, 1 Ki 16:34)  The spirit of New Orleans was not godly.  God is giving those who were trapped in New Orleans because of circumstances of poverty a new chance to start over and rebuild their lives in a more positive environment.  The new city would attract simply those who enjoyed the decadence of it.  I should think that we as a country ought to be repenting rather than trying to figure out ways to rebuild what God destroyed.

so when your city is destroyed its presumptious to rebuild it? your home ? your family? Callous way of thinking there.

Well...Most of the storm evacuees are here in Houston. If they don't change their "bad spirit" I suppose the good Christian folks in Houston should expect to get a devine pop . Wow...all they did was try to be good Christians by putting their hands out to help the "N.O. bad spirit" people and its now made them more likely to get judgement if their new residents don't repent. How come Las Vegas gets a pass. Or New York.San Francisco, Boston...Canada ... Can we put more of these "bad spirit "people in your town so they can bring judgement down on you? Hows about your town being the positive enviroment?

Here is what is presumptuous; You thinking that you know for a fact that this storm was a "judgement". Galveston was hit in 1900 by a nasty storm that killed 6000. Guess what...It was rebuilt and is alive and kicking this day. Guess what...there are thousands of beutiful Christian people from N.O. that did nothing to deserve this. I keep reading these self rightous judgeMENTAL posts and I am going to continue challenging them untill I am kicked off this board. These statements are so profoundly cruel and the ones making then don't even realize it. It was nothing more thhan a big bad storm and N.O. will be rebuilt. How is it that Europe gets a pass. They for the most part hate Jews and Have little to do with God. This country has the largest population of Jews and Bible believing Christians.

Perfect? far from it . Full of faithful believers? Absolutely! No doubt.

These ordeals always seem to cause this devine judgement or end times hysteria and its misguided.

If anyone here thinks they are getting words from God, Lets test this. Give me some specifics about the near future. Names, places, dates, type of disaster ect.

Dan

P.S. It is a judgement to this extent...Adam took a bit and every bad thing that has happened since then is a result of the fall. This was not sodom.

Good one Dan I totally agree. Why has Vegas been given a pass?

Acts 23:3

3Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!"

Culture? Have you ever seen Mardi Gras? It's so decadent it's a mirror-image of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I live in central Florida and fully expect Daytona Beach (i.e. Girls Gone Wild) to be next; Central Florida is heralded proudly as the "Gay Mecca" of the United States.

We have "Gay Days Parades" in central Florida each year; the hotels and Disney advertise like crazy about all the Gay Festivities.

It's Sodom in our own lives today.

God WILL topple the idols of greed and sexual impropriety...He WILL do it unless people repent.

This includes floating casinos, streets filled with drunken orgies and sexual immorality..

Las Vegas will undoubtedly be toppled as well. In fact, I grieve with tears that our entire country will be under the judgment of God soon.

Our nation has abandoned our God for gods of wealth and immorality...

This is only the beginning. Our entire nation will suffer for it's insurrection and rebellion. Everyone will see the judgement of God.

We must encourage everyone to repent. God promises that IF we repent, much like Ninevah, we will be spared.

Right now, nobody wants to learn from the past in scripture....they ignore the signs and warnings God is giving us.

What scares me about rebuilding NO is not just the potential for it to be destroyed again by another major storm . . .

But the resurgence of Mardi Gras.

Do you know what the next Mardi Gras would be like in the rebuilt New Orleans?

Not only will it be the same pagan debauchery as before, but it will be heaping even more sin by the pride of how "we" overcame, how "we" are immortal and invincible, "we" built ourselves back up, the whole "we will be lifted up to the skies" mentality.

I don't want to see a new New Orleans unless there is a new spirit in there - or should I say "Spirit". Otherwise, it will be even more snubbing their noses against our God.

The Bible shows us the mistakes people have made; God loves us but He also warns us to turn from sin and rebellion or we will see His hand of justice.

NOTE: Lot was accused of being a judgemental guy...

GENESIS 19:5 They called Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to stay with you tonight? Bring them out to us! We want to have sex with them!" 6 Lot went out to them and stood in the doorway, closing the door behind him, 7 and said, "Please, my brothers, don't do such a wicked thing. 8 Look here, I have two daughters who are virgins. Please, let me bring them out to you, and you can do with them what seems good to you; but don't do anything to these men, since they are guests in my house." 9 "Stand back!" they replied. "This guy came to live here, and now he's decided to play judge. For that we'll deal worse with you than with them!"Then they crowded in on Lot, in order to get close enough to break down the door.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
