I saw on TV the other day where they were asking everyday Israeli's on the street what they thought about Katrina.

Quite a few of them said that we deserved it because of our arrogance and for sticking our noses into other countries business.  They have the view that we think we are the boss of the world.  The everyday Israeli does not like America very much.

This is a country the U.S gives billions to a year and we have practically built their military.

They need to come to Christ and we need to take care of our own.

You never heard of political pressure? M Rice was still pressuring as the news showed the people of Israel with tears streaming down their faces on the TV ( something very rare, any Israel on TV) that they still wanted them to move onto Gaza next. If she would have have kept her mouth shut Katrina's only US visit most likely would have been Florida.

The L-RD tried speaking to our President through various channels, Americans, Chirsitans and even Jewish believers, but yet he would not listen, so I believe G-d decided to speak a little louder and make him pay attention and listen. :But with what I read in the Bible, he still won't.

What about the Jews in Israel that supported this thing? When do they get their Katrina? My point being is that Katrina was just a bad storm. I didn't support the pull out either but it had nothing to do with Katrina. The Jews were forced to give up their homes. The Big Easiers were forced to give up their lives in many cases. Israel will survive and N.O. will be rebuilt and we are still allies. There are millions upon millioms of Christians in the U.S. that have a special heart for Israel and God is well aware of that. There is quite a bit of shanagans going on from the secular liberal crowd in this country that worries me. Yod layed some of them out. The liberals don't seem to be big supporters of the state of Israel which leads to this question. Why are there so many liberal Jews. It makes no sence. Gaza is in the hands of the Islamonuts now. Why not build a tall fence around it?

And Israel is setting herself up for a horrible disaster that only God can save them from.

But here's my perspective on the "peace process".

If Israel makes their own decisions it is their business. When we pressure them to make decisions for our best interests instead of theirs (which is what happened in every one of these instances) then it's our business.

We are responsible for our business....and receiving our reward

America and Israel are the last 2 countrys that need devine destruction. Should we go down the list of nations who hate or reject God's word all together. The nations that inslave people, torture, rape. Behead for preaching the Gospel. Execute political desenters to sell body parts on the black market. Do ethnic cleansing. I'm just getting started. But somehow, Israel and the U.S. are in line for devine swats?? With respect...I cannot accept that this is anything more that has already happened here in the states before Israel was even a nation. Let me make this clear. Like the rest of you, Israel and the Jews are special to me because it is the home and biological family of my King Jesus. But I don't see the need to make every mis-step that Israel might make as a reason for natural disasters. I give the fall of man the credit for that. This tragedy will pass and N.O. will be rebuilt. Perhaps some of the not so Godly folk from N.O. might see the reason to turn to God but I still see this as a natural disaster.

Not really, Cats. Sharon was under pressure the State Dept. to disengage. In fact, Condi Rice is still instisting that Israel MUST leave the West Bank and East Jerusalem as well. The U.S. goverment is not satisfied with Israel's presence in those places. Israel is ever cognizant of the United States and I don't believe for a moment that this unilateral disengagement was purely Sharon's idea. He is under TREMENDOUS pressure the U.S. to make the most insane concessions any nation has ever made.

On April 14, 2004 Bush, standing with Ariel Sharon announced the biggest change in American policy towards the Middle East peace process since Harry Truman recognized the State of Israel. Among the points he made were that Israel would NOT have to return to pre-1967 borders and could retain key West Bank settlements.

This is a clear reversal of the policy of Arafat appeasement established in the Clinton administration.

As Israel struggled Thursday to evacuate the Gush Katif settlements, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said it must take further steps.

"Everyone empathizes with what the Israelis are facing," she said in an interview with The New York Times. But, she added, "It cannot be Gaza only."

Rice said this is "really quite a dramatic moment in the history of the Middle East," and praised Sharon for proving himself "enormously courageous."

According to the Times, Rice said that while the withdrawal would take several weeks, Israel must take further steps soon afterward, including loosening travel restrictions in the West Bank and withdrawing from more Palestinian cities.
