Shabbat Shalom! I read the bible, it always develops questions in my mind, No it does not have effect on my salvation, do 99% of the topics around here? I just wondered what the purpose of asking for this "favor" was. I mean she ( her mother) could have asked for him to just be killed, but beheaded? That was not a Roman way was it? That is true, however because Herod was part of the roman empire there may be something like Giaour suggested to tell us why this practice was done. It seems as if Herod didn't want to do it, but he gave his word.
