Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

For by the standard you judge you will be judged,

and the measure you use will be the measure you receive.”

Matthew 7:1-2

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.

After that who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Good reason to follow Jesus's instructions on judging others when a judgment needs to be made.

John 7:24

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

TEACH  ALL  THE  WORDS  OF  THIS  LIFE

1 CORINTHIANS 5:11  but now I have written unto you --- not to keep company  --  if any man that is called a brother --- be a fornicator or covetous or an idolater or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner  ---with such an one no not to eat

--5:12-- for what have I to do to judge them also that are without ---do not you judge them that are within---

--5:13-- but them that are without  GOD  judgeth  ---therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person---

PROVERBS 15:32  he that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul but he ---that heareth reproof getteth understanding---

*******DANIEL 9:13  as it is written in the law of moses all this evil is come upon us yet ---made we not our prayer -- before  THE  LORD  OUR  GOD--- that we might turn from our iniquities and understand the truth*******

ACTS 3:26  unto you first  GOD  having raised up  HIS  SON   JESUS  from the dead sent  HIM  to bless you in turning away ---everyone one of you from his iniquities---

JOHN 14:13  and whatsoever you shall ask  --IN  MY  NAME-- that will I do that  THE  FATHER  may be glorified in  THE  SON

1 JOHN 5:14 and this is the confidence that we have in  HIM  ---that if we ask anything according to  HIS  will  HE  heareth us---

The quote from Billy Connolly was not meant to be serious. If you look at the original post you will see a "smile" at the end. All of life does not need to be taken in a serious way. Humor is part of life, so I pray it did not offend you.

True spiritual principle which Jesus taught in the context of this specific quote. Excellent quote. Shalom

Matthew 7:[1] Judge not, that ye be not judged.
[2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
[3] And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
[4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
[5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
[6] Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
[7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
[8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[9] Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
[10] Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
[11] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
[12] Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

DIFFERENCE -- WORLDLY  JUDGEMENT  AND  JUDGING  RIGHTEOUSLY

JOHN 7:24  judge not according to the appearance ---but judge righteous judgement---

1 CORINTHIANS 4:3  but with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you ---of mans judgement--- yea I judge not mine own self

--4:4-- for I know nothing by myself yet am I not hereby justified ---but he that judgeth me is  THE  LORD---

JOHN 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing as I hear I judge and  MY  judgement is just because ---I seek not mine own will but the will of  THE  FATHER  which hath sent  ME---

2 TIMOTHY 3:16  all scripture is given by inspiration of  GOD  and is profitable ---for doctrine -- for reproof -- for correction -- for instruction in righteousness---

1 CORINTHIANS 6:1  dare any of you having a matter against another go to law before the unjust and not before the saints  --6:2-- do you not know that ---the saints shall judge the world--- and if the world shall be judged by you ---are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters  --6:3-- know you not that we shall judge angels  --  how much more things that pertain to this life   --6:4-- if then you have judgements of things pertaining to this life set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church  --6:5-- I speak this to your shame  ---is it so that there is not a wise man among you  --no not one-- that shall be able to judge between his brethren---

JAMES 5:19  brethren if any of you do err from the truth and  ---one convert him -- 5:20-- let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way  --  shall save a soul from death  --  and shall hide a multitude of sins---

PSALM 1149:9  to execute upon them the judgement written ---this honor have all his saints--- praise you  THE  LORD ---

1 PETER 4:17  for the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of  GOD  and if it first begin at us what shall the end be ---of them which obey not  THE  GOSPEL  OF  GOD---

Thanks again, Steve. It's easy to see that your study and application of the Bible is great - far exceeding mine.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
