Transgender residents in Palm Springs, California are eligible to receive a UBI of up to $900 per month solely for identifying as transgender or nonbinary — no strings attached.

So, if 100 people sign up (likely not too unlikely in Palm Springs), they will run out of money in about 2 months. I wonder what they are thinking the point of this is! I also wonder how many "normal" people (am I allowed to say that, or is that hate speech) will sign up just to get the no strings attached hand out!

nor·mal
/ˈnôrməl/
Learn to pronounce

adjective
1.
conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected.
"it's quite normal for puppies to bolt their food"

noun
1.
the usual, average, or typical state or condition.
"her temperature was above normal"

P.S. I did not read far enough, it is to fund 20 residents, for 18 months, and it is only for people with low income.

The 18 months is as a test run, not necessarily the end of it. But, yes, there is a means test as well.

It could be a test run in more than one way. Just because the city council has gay or no binary members, does not mean that the voters will be fond of special privileges based on orientation etc. Could be that the limited time is a popularity test, or a length of time for the voters to grow used to the idea. This is the city that elected Sonny Bono, there might still be some right wingers there.

So, in what way is this even remotely Constitutional?

I must say that imo California is just ridiculous, seems to be the " test " State for the rest of the Country to see what Govt can actually get away with- call me crazy but thats how I see it...."How will our liberal agenda fly?"

Im sorry but most California residents must have their head in the sand ! Please, no offense meant for my Brothers & Sisters who live in California- I most certainly do not believe any Born Again Christian has any tolerance for what goes on over there or that my Brethren support things such as this!

How in the world did the Govt get to the position of power & authority it has over those people since Ronald Reagan? Certainly he had to have been the best Gov California ever had- wasnt the State red back then? What happened?

I dont know much about politics, that might be very apparent by my post but I ask these questions simply because I dont understand how we- as a Nation "Under God" & FOR " we" the people could go so far left and so terribly wrong?

New York is right up there in" ridiculousness" imo!D-Dawn asks how its remotely Constitutional.... It isnt & thats the point, how does California and States like NY blatantly ignore our Constitution and just do as they will?

Ugg, oi vey- I dont get it..,. Because one identifies themself as " transgender"(which makes no'sense because thats " unidentified") they get a handout? Im " female", why not give me a handout- thats discriminatory, isnt it?

 Rant over- lol

With love in Christ, Kwik
