I'll begin with the news and then fill you in on the history. The Lord saw fit to have my husband's income downsized by 30% a few months ago, we put our house on the market, it sold and we closed on it this past Friday. We moved into an apartment two weeks ago. After we closed on our house, we became aware that there were evacuees from New Orleans being housed here in our apartment complex. The owner of the apartments provided two families with apartments rent free for six months and is also gathering donations of food, clothing, furnishings, etc. These people from New Orleans lost everything, they can not access their bank accounts, insurance companies are telling them to get in line, so they need everything - all the basic essentials. So, the Lord has opened the door for me, my husband and our small home church to be able to minister to the needs of these families. And, I found out today that HUD is sending about 7 more families next week, so we could have a whole lot of displaced people in our apartment community.

The first couple we met came to our Bible study Sunday night, which met at the club house, which is also where they are gathering donations for them, so we had to work around the donations. The Lord really blessed in that Bible study. We had 8 people there who do not normally attend. We have a young couple in our group who have been married for two years - she is from Canada and for a year she has been trying to get a visa to the USA so that she can live here with her husband. She just got here this past week. This is an interracial couple and the couple from N.O. is also an interracial couple, so they had that in common. Plus the girl from Canada just left her home and family and is relocating here to SC. Our youngest son, Steven, was also there. He was on a two week mid-tour from his tour of duty in Iraq and he is going back this Saturday.

Anyway, you could just feel the excitement of God in the room! Today the Bible study group/church plant gave checks to these needy families and you should have seen the looks on their faces. They burst in to tears and hugged us and said how overwhelmed they are at the generosity and kindness of people. Both families recognized the hand of God in bringing them here. They believe God has them here for a purpose.

A year ago tomorrow the Lord told me, "Give your ministry over to God - it is not yours, it is HIS. God may have something else for you to do that you have not even thought of. Write down what God shows you and then wait on him to bring it about. What you are going through is much bigger than you could possibly imagine. NOW is your time! For such at time as this you were placed upon the earth..."

Then, in November of last year the Lord gave me visions of devastation - an unheard of disaster was to strike the USA and many lives would be lost and there would be survivors and they would be refugees and that the Lord was setting up cities of refuge for them and one of them was to be Rock Hill, SC. And, the Lord told me that I was to have a significant role in helping these displaced people.

The Lord also told me that he was going to use me to build his church - he was going to supply the "fish" and all I had to do was to throw my "net" where he said to throw it. And, that is happening. We could not have orchestrated this if we tried, but I believe God is going to grow his church here through this disaster and I believe he brought the people he wanted to be here and I believe we are going to see many people come to the Lord through it.

But, I also believe this is just the beginning. The Lord says he will give us small areas of responsibility first and see how we do with them and then he will give us more if we are faithful, and I believe in the days, weeks, months and years to come we are going to see much more devastation and refugees and the need to meet the needs of those displaced people as God is putting together an army of soldiers for HIM.

I can't wait to see what GOD does next. To be continued...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You are so welcome! I'm just so excited about what God is doing! I just want to be like Peter and say, "because you said so, Lord, I will do it" or like Mary who said "may it be unto me as you have said." I just want to be potter in the master's hands for him to use however he wants to use me and I can't tell you how much I enjoy bringing happiness to the lives of others. I love delivering good news!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
