Jesus’ word need to be stored up and kept!

•    “My son, keep my words and store up my commandments within you.” (Proverbs 7.1).

Many people are leaned to think that the only thing important is to read the Holy Scripture. Nonetheless, it’s no use reading and not allow Jesus’ teachings to sink in our minds and create roots. Jesus was clear:

•    “Jesus said to them, Have you understood all these things? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. Then He said to them, Therefore every scribe who is instructed to the kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out things new and old out of his treasure.” (Matthew 13.51,52).

Although we can’t stick to the past things (Philippians 3.13,14), we should ever look on the old paths (Jeremiah 6.16). When Paul said that we are new creature and that the old things have passed away and all things have become new (2Corinthans 5.17), what he meant is that, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3.5), His mercy on us and for us is renewed (Lamentations 3.22,23).

In other words, new things doesn’t imply acquired something inedited or know people that we never meet previously. Rather, this means that we ought to seek in Christ to be grateful for what we have and, above all, to find out in Him how we can cope with all the resources of Christ in us in a special and very useful way, so as to yield a new thing.

Remember: a tree is made up of new branches that grows from old ones.

So, have a good day allowing to come into your innermost, every moment (“bad” and good), what Jesus imparted to you in order to work His salvation in you and through you. Let Jesus sign every work of His, with His blood, in your heart (see Revelation 14.1; 22.4).
