Recently I was pondering some Bible verses relating to peace on Earth. And I remeber hearing that there will be no peace on Earth/in Israel untill Jesus comes back. And I wondered......

Is this a set in stone edict that we cannot change? Or is it a challenge, of sorts? If we have total and complete free will, as I believe we do, to turn away from G-d? Just like alot of us have been doing. Can we reverse the flow and turn to G-d? Do we have the free will to unite as a people? To turn from our wicked ways of the past. Seems to me that waiting for Jesus to return and bring peace. Is not the right or best way to do things. I am, to be clear, NOT TALKING ABOUT TRUE PEACE from G-d. I am, however talking about the absense of war. And the proliferation of love over hatred. Light over dark. And things of that nature.

Can we, and will we, as a single entity of many, wake up and realize that we are screwing up a miracle? The miracle of life, love, and joy.

We need Jesus to save us from damnation in the next world of eternity. THIS IS TRUE. But can we turn to G-d and save ourselves from damnation here on Earth? We seem to be heading toward that outcome. And I say turn back before it's to late.

I think this songs says it best. If G-d is love, than love is what we need.

HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH

By:Belinda Carlisle

When the night falls down

I wait for you

And you come around

And the world's alive

With the sound of kids

On the street outside

When you walk into the room

You pull me close and we start to move

And we're spinning with the stars above

And you lift me up in a wave of love...

Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth?

Ooh heaven is a place on earth

They say in heaven love comes first

We'll make heaven a place on earth

Ooh heaven is a place on earth

When I feel alone

I reach for you

And you bring me home

When I'm lost at sea

I hear your voice

And it carries me

In this world we're just beginning

To understand the miracle of living

Baby I was afraid before

But I'm not afraid anymore

Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth ?

Ooh heaven is a place on earth

They say in heaven love comes first

We'll make heaven a place on earth

Ooh heaven is a place on earth

I hear you, but that is not achievable by mankind. Mankind is entirely too selfish for anything like that to take place. Hate, war, oppression, are all part of our sinful nature. We will not see the absence of war until the Messiah finally reappears to put an end to all of that.

My question, among many, is can we overcome the majority of our sinfull nature(hate, war, oppression) and go to HIM rather than wait for HIM to come to us? Are we THAT far gone and uncapable of change?

Sometimes, no offense, I get so sick and tired about what G-d says we can't do. In this case bring about peace on Earth. And if peace on Earth is a pipe dream. That G-d says cannot happen untill Christ returns. Doesn't that negate free will? Or is G-d saying we are not up to the task? I know without G-d we are not up to the task. But with G-d in ALL our lives. Can we take the off ramp? And get off the road to ruin, that without G-d, we are heading down?

The more wholesome changes the regenerate can effect in the world around them the better! And the more unregenerate people we lead to Christ, the more regenerate people there will be to help effect those salubrious changes.

You need to understand... peace on earth is not a pipe dream. There will be peace on earth, and the Bible prophecies tell us that it will happen. But it will happen on God's time table. The absolute end of war, oppression, poverty, etc. is not possible as long as sin is in the world. These things are the product of sin, and require more than mankind engaging in behavior modification, or character reformation.

We know from Scripture that things are going to get worse, not better until Messiah reappears. We see that happening all around us. We should work to make the world better as much as lies within our power to do so.

We should, everyday, seek ways to be a blessing and benefit to greater society, which by the way, I see as one of the most important messages of Chanukah. It is incumbent upon us to be a light to the nations, and to do what we can to encourage peace and mutual goodwill, in addition to bringing the world the light of Messiah Yeshua. To think that we will bring the world into absolute peace before the Messiah reappears, is simply incorrect.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
