My sister and my mom asked me why I didn't become a nun.

I told her that because firstly the Vatican has been treating nuns with a lot of disrespect and perhaps always have.

Being a nun is a heck of a lot to ask of somebody especially when it's thankless, empty and most of the time it feels hopeless and if it wasn't for the ability to live in a convent and have your very basic needs met the fact is it would be pretty scary.

I spent the day today with people from the church handing out donated food, clothing and over the counter medicines and hygiene products and gasoline today at the homeless shelter, and I had people sign letters to send to the president to combat the attack on women's rights.

I can do that myself and I have.

And what I am, is a Chaplain.

I get to go home because I actually have one lol and make myself a steak with mushrooms and onions and Montreal seasoning, a baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives and cheese, and a Bloomin' onion and a glass of moscato wine and have the electric to cook it on.

I did have some of the people who I counsel, come to my house for dinner.

I'm able to actually get myself to the cruise ship next week where I work in the chapel...

And I don't have to be cussed at by nasty people who never has anything nice or uplifting to say along the way.

Lol

By combating the attacks on womens rights ... what is it you mean? If its the so called right to abortion, then you need to reread the bible. Abortion is murder of an unborn baby.

Pregnancy first of all doesn't work that way, and secondly, how would you like to grow up being abused and hated by your mom because you resemble her rapist or because you're a product of her rapist, or grow up starving and destitute or addicted to drugs that you never took or grow up being molested by a pimp?

The fact is that the right of women to our bodies is an inalienable right and we demand it and we will fight for our justice.

The Bible says absolutely nothing about the unborn.

High Victoria_Lady.

Please be advised that crude and vulgar language and material is not permitted and if persisted in results in offenders being placed on Moderation Review. It's simply not the tone that is desired on Worthy Christian Forums.

I can’t even imagine what that must be like,Victoria-Lady..I can relate to being abused though,..careful with the language, I understand it though, I pray that the Lord in his mercy, helps you work through your anger and pain...

It took me many years of cognitive therapy to work through mine...Praying for you and younare  deeply in my thoughts...🙏💗

You aren’t a lone in your confusion and misery, even though I can’t relate to the rape and pimp, which must have been “ Horrendous “ to go through, I can relate to the verbal abuse!!..

This never happened to me, I'm saying abortion should be allowed because these things do happen.

Many of the people who I counsel are products of this or had this happen to them.

My job is to help them to understand that none of this is their fault, and that god loves them and wants them to live good decent lives and to accept God and look to God for guidance and to develop coping mechanisms and help them to develop a positive self esteem and find motivation in life and give to them and find for them humanitarian aid.

Thank you, to be honest in retrospect i thank God for it, ( never want to go through that again and I never will)....he drew me to him through it ,so all that emotional pain and suffering brought me to Christ, he watches and sees everything that is going on....he allowed it and look what came out of it....a miracle when I was birthed into Christ/ born again/ regenerated!!....Spirit gives birth to spirit....that’s a hard one to explain, but, if you have been birthed in the Spirit it’s not hard to understand!.....All Glory goes to our Lord Jesus!!...

Last year I found somebody formerly addicted to methamphetamine.

His body was like he was hollow and mouth looked like it was twisted sideways and as though it was where his cheek should be on the side of his face.

I got a surgeon to volunteer his time for him, I took him in.

After a diet of pancakes, SOS, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage and a bowl of spinach, turnip greens, mixed greens and black beans and a baked potato for breakfast.

A homemade deep dish pan crispy stuffed crust breakfast pizza and a salad for Brunch..

Beef, Bean, Cheese, Sour cream and rice burritos, diced potatoes with cheese and sour cream, and a plate of nachos for lunch..

A fresh fruit salad and homemade black bean dip with chips and four baked potatoes for a snack..

And then London broil steak, coconut shrimp, crab cakes, stuffed crab and a plate of spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and shrimp and crab in it..

A Bloomin' onion and baked potatoes..

A Caesar salad and a bowl of mixed greens and black beans for dinner..

With protein powder drinks...

No more hollow, within 6 weeks.

:)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
