The Fathers Jabal and Jubal

Genesis 4:20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents,

and of such as have cattle.

21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handling the string and pipe.

Handling the kinnor and ugab; words used later for the musical instruments invented by David. 

Jabal-’a water course’-the Father of those who dwell in tents with herds of cattle.

Jabal is not simply the Father of herdsmen, but of those who lived in a migratory manner

with their herds and cattle, which would follow patterns established by the water course.

Jubal-’a water spring’, the Father of those who located underground water and dug wells. 

He was using string and pipe to locate underground springs by dowsing. 

Jubal is the Father of all such as settled, and non-migratory.

One of the first artifacts we find around 40,000 years ago is a fishing hook made out of bone and fishing nets. People did not go far from water. Eden was in the Tigris - Euphrates river valley.

There have been controlled tests to see if it works, and the results show dowsing works no better than random guesses.   One issue is that in most places, there is some level below the ground where water can be found just about everywhere.

A long time ago, The Amazing Randi (stage name for a magician) setup a TV show with a huge cash prize for those who could prove things like psychic readings, reading auras, spoon bending and other stunts including dowsing.

The dowsers failed miserably.  Really all of them did in every category.  I think dowsing is 100% fake based on this experiment, although dowsing is probably 100% more accurate than the RT-PCR at spotting the Covid 19 virus. 

I believe about Moses striking the stone, but God did that.

The Hebrew word "'aViy," "אֲבִ֕י,"  which means "my-father" can also mean "my-source." So YaaVaal ("יָבָ֑ל") was the SOURCE of those who dwell in tents, and YuwVaal ("יוּבָ֑ל") was the SOURCE of those who handle the lyre ("kinnowr," or "כִּנּוֹר") and flute ("`uwgaaV," or "עוּגָב"). Their brother "TuwVal Qayin" or ("תּ֣וּבַל קַ֔יִן"), was the FORGER of every artificer who worked with copper or brass or bronze and with iron. And, Rabbis surmise that his sister, Na`amaah, ("נַֽעֲמָֽה"), was mentioned because she may have been Noach's wife!

Are you okay? a) Dowsing works. b) What are you trying to say by including RT-PCR?  c) What is the (confusing) inclusion of Moses striking the stone?

I can't find any scientific study that affirms dowsing as a legitimate technique. The chances of finding something are no different than chance. A person with some knowledge of an area, land forms and geology could probably improve their odds, but it would not be because of the dowsing.

James Randi put up $100,000 in his dowsing test which appeared on live TV, but the dowsing failed.  There were 20 boxes that might contain a bag of dirt, or a large bottle of water and the dowser had to choose which boxes contained water.  He chose 8 boxes.

In reality, there were only 5 boxes that contained water so the dowser automatically failed by choosing 8 boxes.

I guess when you put your money where your mouth is, dowsing does not work.
