Who has a favorite Psalm?

I do not read through the Psalms very often though many encourage it.

@CHC Thanks for those reading suggestions. I do love how Psalm 23 links forward with John 10, the passage about the Good Shepherd. Then there is Hebrews 13.20: 'that great shepherd of the sheep'.

Matthew 8:12 - I used to say I was in the 1% as a lot of 'bad things' would happen to me (it was a running joke - if there's a 1% chance it could happen it would happen to you, kind of thing). I now say I am the 1% - that lost sheep he carried home.

@CHC I think you may mean Matthew 18.12.........it does indeed link in also with the shepherd Psalm theme...................thanks........

@CHC Well, it's a good reading habit! especially when we are attuned to seeking out Christ in all the Scriptures...........

The King of love my shepherd is,
whose goodness faileth never.
I nothing lack if I am his,
and he is mine forever.

2 Where streams of living water flow,
my ransomed soul he leadeth;
and where the verdant pastures grow,
with food celestial feedeth.

3 Perverse and foolish, oft I strayed,

and home, rejoicing, brought me.

4 In death's dark vale I fear no ill,
with thee, dear Lord, beside me;
thy rod and staff my comfort still,
thy cross before to guide me.
