Psalms 139 it is, my favorite psalms

O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Hello @Farouk,

Like other members have said before me, it is difficult to pick one out of the many psalms that have been a blessing to me.

Yet there are words which constantly come into my mind, and take the form of a song, which are, 'Bless thou the Lord oh my soul,' and Psalm 103 begins that way, celebrating 'the rest' of the earth, which is characteristic of the Kingdom, it's mercies and it's judgments.  Though for Israel specifically it is a blessing to all who have knowingly been the recipient of Gods' grace, in Christ Jesus:-

(1)  Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
(2)  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
(3)  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;
(4)  Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
(5)  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
(6)  The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
(7)  He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel.
(8)  The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
(9)  He will not always chide: neither will He keep His anger for ever.
(10)  He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
(11)  For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Hm.
(12)  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.
(13)  Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him.
(14)  For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.
(15)  As for man, His days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so He flourisheth.
(16) For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
(17)  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children;
(18)  To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them.
(19)  The LORD hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all.
(20)  Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word.
(21)  Bless ye the LORD, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.
(22)  Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Praise God!

Psalm 27.4:

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple."

@Annisissy Philippians 3.13-14 seems to fit with Psalm 27.4:

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3.13-14)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
