It was one of the better times, to be sure. We were returning home after acquiring my military dependent ID card (that was the minimum age back then). My mother was scolding me for one reason or the other, and it ended when she exclaimed, "Act your age, not your shoe size!" I laughed. "But mom," I objected. "My age IS my shoe size!" She of all people ought to know that. I experienced atrocious growth spurts starting at age 8 until I was close to 6 feet tall by age 14 (things slowed down after that, thankfully). Hi Ghostdog, No. I don`t have many shoes and not obsessed with them. Like my comfortable ones and that`s fine. Don`t go out that much, so basic ones around the farm.
