Yes, they certainly are....I just checked and rewound the video.   She was only on the nest earlier this morning.   Otherwise just the exposed two eggs.

I guess you are right....they finally are giving up.

They might lay eggs a bit later this year.   It should be warmer weather then.

People are still stranded up there in our mountains.    A state of emergency declared I think they said.    Trying to get food up there.   Neighbors there are helping each other, collecting donations for the needy.

This is a good video of Spirit, last year's Eaglet!   From birth to becoming a Fledgling (flying).

WOW  THANK YOU   what an amazing video .. loved the naughty tantrum and demanding to be fed even when he was the same size as his parent  Reminds me of some teenagers I have known :24:

The nest has been abandoned they havent been back for over 12 hours     a sad  ending but THANK YOU Deb as I have enjoyed the excitement and fun of watching them :emot-hug:

Hopefully they will lay some more eggs this year.   With warmer weather, the eggs will probably hatch.

I just read the last update story of March 1.   The cameras were acting up because they are solar powered and were probably covered with snow or affected by the cloudy weather.

The eggs were eaten by crows after Shadow finished his mourning of the loss. His mourning over the eggs was quite touching. I was a bit misty eyed myself. I am a softy when it comes to animals.
