She was only on the nest earlier this morning. Otherwise just the exposed two eggs. I guess you are right....they finally are giving up. They might lay eggs a bit later this year. It should be warmer weather then. People are still stranded up there in our mountains. A state of emergency declared I think they said. Trying to get food up there. The eggs were eaten by crows after Shadow finished his mourning of the loss. His mourning over the eggs was quite touching. I was a bit misty eyed myself.
