Trying to sort all this out could take a long, long time.  Adam's ilk is very good at hiding the truth

I'm just not sure what "truth" we are trying to expose here. You said in your OP, "this does not look good for Fox News", but all I see so far is an admittedly biased news organisation addressing the issues that are important to their core audience. I'd have to see a lot more information, pointing to much more nefarious actions, before my interest is peaked even a little.

that applies to both sides of the political spectrum as well

When I watched a lot of news, I generally preferred the conservative news-media outlets, because there was more in the way of facts to digest. The general story arc went: "Here's what happened (the facts), here's how the leftist media reported the story, now let's discuss how we see the issue (often with informed guests, sometimes from both sides of the political spectrum)". So, in a roundabout way, I got both sides of the issue (recognizing the bias of the presenters - since there was no attempt to hide their bias).

Whereas when I watch leftist media, all I see is unabashed, one-sided, leftist propaganda - masquerading as objective, unbiased reporting. Sometimes, important stories are not reported at all.

I remember when I first encountered Fox News (maybe 15-20 years ago) - I thought I must have stumbled onto a Christian channel - because I had never before seen the socially conservative perspective represented on mainstream news.

I understand that both sides are biased. But I find any suggestion that they are in the same category-of-bias to be naive.

No, I don't think it looks good for Fox News, but that could just be the looks and not the ultimate reality which surfaces in this case.  I think what was reported was from sworn deposition in a court filing, so that should carry a little more weight than general hearsay.

And I too have seen the other thing you commented on regarding "when I watch leftist media, all I see is unabashed, one-sided, leftist propaganda - masquerading as objective, unbiased reporting."  Agreed.  Left-leaners like to say they are just reporting the unbiased truth, whereas the fact is they all have some bias. (I used to get a kick out of watching MSNBC then flipping to FOX to see how they would report the same events, but my head wanted to explode after just a few minutes . . . so I stopped doing that! :duh:)

(Bloomberg) -- Fox Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch testified that Fox News’s popular commentators “endorsed” Donald Trump’s false claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, even though Murdoch said he doubted the conspiracy theory right away, according to a filing in a defamation lawsuit.

To me, the bottom-line in all the affairs of man, is we cannot trust what man says (regardless or left, right or center). We know what is in man, and all men are liars!

In one stunning revelation, Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, replied in an email to former House Speaker and Fox Corp. board member Paul Ryan that veteran host Sean Hannity “has been privately disgusted by Trump for weeks.” The exchange regarded Trump’s spreading of election lies following his November 2020 defeat to Joe Biden.

Wow, I'm surprised no one even commented on this one.  Last time I left a political post it took off like a rocket and then ended not so well (in brotherly love terms).

Maybe we're all tired of such thing, which ain't really bad . . .

What do I have  to do with belial?

"What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?  What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Therefore go out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
    then I will welcome you,

and you shall be sons and daughters to me,

"Why are they disquieted in vain?"  Psalm 39:6  This verse often comes to me if I listen to talk radio or see talking heads on TV. (I do that less and less these days . . .)

From here: https://news.yahoo.com/strong-dominions-defamation-case-against-140054881.html

How strong is Dominion’s argument against Fox News?

Many 1st Amendment attorneys said Dominion has presented highly compelling evidence of malice by Fox News, which poses a significant threat to the network if it goes to trial, they said.

“I do overall believe that this is one of the strongest plaintiff's cases that I've ever seen,” said attorney Lee Levine, who litigated 1st Amendment matters for 40 years. "I have a hard time envisioning a scenario in which Fox wins before a jury."

Andrew Geronimo, director of the 1st Amendment Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, said he was taken aback by the evidence and believes Fox News is in an unenviable position as a defendant. Dominion's motion cited numerous examples of Fox News insiders disputing the veracity of Trump's claims in blunt terms.

"Usually, making out actual malice is all about inferences to things, what should have been discovered and what might have been overlooked," Geronimo said. "It’s not usually so stark as 'this is BS.' From a defense lawyer's perspective, it gives me the cold sweats reading this."

Everytime I resolve not to talk anymore something pulls me back.

Many people would rather believe a beautiful lie instead of the ugly truth. If you live on a steady diet of exclusively right wing news like Fox, it alters your perception of reality. A lot of people here very badly want to believe Trump was robbed because the alternative, thier guy was a failure and the rest of the country hated him is too difficult and emotionally damaging to absorb.

Fox news, which is essentially state TV for the Republicans, is infamous for giving its viewers disinformation and creating a false reality in its viewers. They convinced thier viewers Trump was amazing and popular, would easily win yadda yadda. Then reality happened. He lost by millions, and his fans were enraged. They did not want to hear that he lost, they wanted to hear that he (and by proxy they) were robbed. Fox had to choose between telling the truth and losing countless viewers, or telling thier audience what they wanted to hear.

Fox decided to tell them what they wanted to hear.

They can either acknowledge Fox lies to them, or tune it out. Most chose the latter.

LOL - Ain't it the truth --> something always pulls us back . . .

Regarding your comment, this is just who man is in fallen Adam - liars!  Adam and his descendants all lie to their advantage.  Therefore we should not be too surprised when our fellow man does things like this!

I'm not posting these things just to come down on Fox News specifically, because all news outlets are biased to some degree - it's just in man's nature.  I fellowship locally with certain ones, and there are some in my family, who elevate Fox News as being something they are not.  I'm fairly conservative, but easily recognize how much "in the tank" they (and a few other news outlets) were for Trump in an unhealthy way.

But the same thing can be said of much of the other news outlets, except that they are largely "in the tank" for ones on the other side of the political spectrum.  Today it's Fox News in hot water . . . tomorrow it will be someone else.

The moral is: Trust in God, not man!

All your news is terrible, but Fox is unique in that they are actively trying to mislead and enrage their audience. The other main networks are merely corporate and establishment hacks. I have seen numerous studies how people who watch no news are less misinformed then people who only watch Fox. I have seen several interesting documentaries on the right wing information bubble and how it's radicalizing a large segment of the United States.

I don't disagree . . . and to balance what you said - many studies showing the so-called mainstream media is made up of journalists of who are about 70% left-leaning (at least).  The other thing that happened in this country is journalists polled now believe their reporting should "make the world a better place," as opposed to 50 years ago when polled they predominately believed their mission was "to present the facts."

Fox News came along and succeeded because many people were fed-up with the overwhelmingly left-biased news.  Now things are so polarized that each side just tends to go further in their own direction, to satisfy their base . . . which produces more polarization.

The fact you think they are left leaning shows just how off tilt half your country is. You can tell a lot of people have not traveled much.

If you think your news and government are liberal don't ever visit Europe, especially the Scandinavian countries. Your heads will explode.

You people use the terms "liberal" as if it is a synonym for "dishonest".

Have you ever considered maybe sometimes you just don't like the facts?

Until I came to this forum I had never been accused if being a liberal. Me, an Orthodox Jew who can't even expose her elbows or use birth control. It's a miracle my husband and I didn't have nine kids before he died.

Still, I'm too liberal apparently for some people here.

Not liking the facts doesn't mean someone is lying to you. It just means you don't like the truth.

I'm not saying this to defend your terrible news industry, I think they're all awful. Fox is just the only one actively lying, but thier own admission. Whatever happened to critical thinking skills?

Very aware that much of the world is more socialistic leaning than the USA, and therefore the perception you have is valid . . . from your perspective.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
