Thursday 7-6-23 5th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Tammuz 17 5783, 16th. Summer Day

Hello, I have been thinking about the OP and the different posts, but have not received any revelation on what Jesus was talking about to Nicodemus. But I'm glad to have an understanding of these views on this thread and more on other site forums.

I was looking at: It is by scripture we as Christians are not Born Again until we are caught up to be with Christ 1 Thessalonians 4:17, and 1 Corinthians 15:51-58

But here are some views from Bing:
In Christianity, being born again means having a spiritual renewal or change of heart by accepting Jesus as the Savior and Lord. It is not about physical birth or external requirements, but about receiving salvation and becoming part of God’s family1.

The phrase “born again” is frequently misinterpreted. Looking at its primary reference, we see that its meaning is not about physical birth, but about experiencing a spiritual renewal. It is an expression used by many Protestants to define the moment or process of fully accepting faith in Jesus Christ. It is an experience when the teachings of Christianity and Jesus become real, and the “born again” acquire a personal relationship with God2.

Also, we will be in prayer about this process.

Bible Gateway passage: John 3:3-8, Colossians 1:15-18, Romans 8:29, Revelation 1:5, 1 Corinthians 15:50, Galatians 4:26, 2 John 1, 2 John 13, Revelation 12:1-5, Hebrews 12:23, Malachi 3:1 - King James Version

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say...

I'll fire off a quick one here as I'm going out the door, and can provide scripture references later.  New birth is the Spirit of Christ coming into us to enliven our deadened human spirit. Nothing happens without this new life coming into us.  It is Christ in us, and through this we receive actual sonship of God's life, not just legal adoption.

Everything in the new covenant, and as put forth in the new testament for us to be transformed into His image, is thereby predicated upon this new birth/life in us.  We receive a new life . . . God's eternal, zoe (Greek) life!

So the moment we accept Christ, His life comes into us and starts operating.

Does that start to begin to commence to answer the OP?

Indeed. I rambled a bit in a different topic touching upon this very thing, brother.

Being a recipient of the Lord's discipline, which was intense and rather hard when I was young and clueless, is a scriptural confirmation (Hebrews 12:6) of this life which the Lord Himself gave to me. This is that work which Christ started in us and so, being confirmed by the discipline of God, is further confirmation that He is faithful to complete that work (Philippians 1:6).

Having endured hard things is how the Lord prepared me for that work He ordained for me to walk in (Ephesians 2:10), which is simple: by virtue of those hard things and the terror of mistakenly believing that I was abandoned by Him, I was encouraged by the Lord in a manner which surpasses my paltry words in this post. He continues to encourage me in the same way every day so whenever I encounter a brother or sister struggling with hard and even terrifying things, they're the reason why the Lord was pleased to have me endure in this world. Questions and fears regarding salvation and being born again are commonplace during those dark times.

So, I say that by virtue of suffering and tribulation on this earth, being the recipients of the Lord's faithful discipline, we know that we are sons and daughters of the Most High. Tribulation? Yes, read Acts 14. It is through much tribulation that we enter the Kingdom of God. :)

What about the thief on the cross who Jesus promised paradise to the very day they were crucified together?

It was a matter of simple faith I think. Can you be more specific?

At which moment did he become born again and receive Christ's Spirit? He received no baptism of water or of fire, he did speak in tongues or demonstrate any operation in the gifts of the Spirit. Just asking with regards to the OP :)

You do bring up an interesting point, and I don't know what the mechanics were.  Could be a special one-off case where the Lord made some exception to "the rule." But who knows!?

The Word does say that all those who call on the Name shall be saved. Maybe that's all it takes? No other name higher 🙌

Yes, that is stated in a few places!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
