Catholics, look at it no differently than you or I asking someone to pray for us. There is even a forum on here for that.

The difference is that we are alive and praying for each other.  Catholics believe that Mary is already resurrected and is reigning as queen of heaven.  Protestants believe what the Bible teaches and not these traditions and old wives tales.  There is nothing in the Bible that indicates Mary is resurrected, or that she was sinless, or that she is a mediator between God and man.  These are fables.  The Bible strictly forbids our praying to dead people, to their spirits, to angels, or to anyone but our God in trinity, Father, son and Holy Spirit.

@Willa Great verse there.

Similarly, Romans 8.34: "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

Yeah, we wouldn't want to have any humor about anything.

It's sad that catholics don't follow the teachings of Jesus and His Apostles (the Doctrine of Christ)

Based on what God's Word teaches, they don't go to heaven when they die... shouldn't we be warning them and showing them what the Lord says in His Word?

Wouldn't LOVE do that?
Or would LOVE leave them in their sin and just let them go to hell?

What would LOVE do in this situation???

The problem is, If you talk to them concerning things they do not believe, how can you effectively do that? What if someone did that to you?

They do not believe the Bible!
Should we affirm them in their false beliefs that are not in God's Word?

And Love corrects, reproves the works of darkness.

Ephesians 5:11
have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

If we are truly walking in love, then because we do not want to see anyone go to hell... we must be willing to tell people that believe false doctrine that... it's not biblical

And then know God's Word good enough to be able to tell them what the truth is.

In this case tell them Jesus did not say to pray to mary, and here's what Jesus said about prayer:

John 16:23,24
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

John 14:13
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:6
I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved

Sadly many catholics will say "yes, we believe these bible verses are true!" and then turn right around and pray to mary!

But, don't offend catholics by saying  Jesus specifically said to pray to the Father in His Name!

If one tells them what Jesus said... that wouldn't be speaking the Truth ion Love would it???

After all, catholics don't believe what Jesus said about this so this will offend them.
