We Are Working When We See Our Father Working

John 5:

16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him,

because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 

17 But Jesus answered them,

My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.

18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because

He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father,

making Himself equal with God. 

19 Then Jesus answered and said to them,

Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself,

but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does,

the Son also does in like manner. 

Joshua 6:

15 But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times. 

16 And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city! 

The commandment of the Lord was not, march 6 days,

observe a Sabbath, then march 7 times on the 8th day.

Galatians 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

And "the pure in heart shall see God"

Numbers 9:

17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. 

18 At the command of the Lord the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the Lord they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. 

19 Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord and did not journey. 

20 So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the Lord they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the Lord they would journey. 

21 So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey. 

22 Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey. 

23 At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed; they kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

9 A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. 

Because I live, you will live also. 

20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 

21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.

And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him,

“Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word;

and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 

24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word

which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, 

He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 

28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’

If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’

for My Father is greater than I.

29 “And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass,

you may believe. 

30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming,

and he has nothing in Me. 

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father,

and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do.

Jesus' Sabbath breaking was only in accordance with the laws of man. He upheld the Sabbath in accordance to the law of God. (Commandment #4) Otherwise he would have had sin added to His account.
