I think @other one is correct that the true Christ followers are there but not so outspoken in a world that vilifies and mocks the believer.  Jesus chose to witness among the common people more than in the religious buildings where the false religious teachers were.  Most of the apostles did the same with the exception of Paul who was everywhere.  It seems to me the best and most effect work was done in small group settings where believers could speak into the lives of the people not just into their ears.  I know now that my mission field has been my family, friends and community but 49 years ago when I accepted Jesus as my savior, I thought I had to go to a foreign country to be a missionary or to disciple others.  Churches have always been filled with people who are not following the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (think Sadducees and Pharisees).  But at least there they may have ears to hear and eyes to see what God can do.

These generations will be FAR MORE judged than any nation and culture before.

And the spiritual shepherds of these generations will be judged at an even much higher standard.  If they chose to teach anything contrary to the word of God they will suffer for their lack of wisdom and spiritual connection with the Spirit of God Almighty.  The word is very clear about what He hates and abhors.

Sadly most shepherds are false leading their sheep to destruction. Many of the megachurches with thousands of followers teach totally satanic doctrines, and yet thousands who think they are saved sit each week under their false teachings. I think the vast majority of churchgoers today will be totally shocked when Jesus tells them " I never knew you ". Pastors will be told that as well.

I suppose I'd agree with that. A church of thousands might only have a hundred REAL followers of Jesus. Millions will be in Hell who were Sunday Christians and never really knew Jesus. Millions of churchgoers will suffer eternal punishment because they actually thought church attendance was what made them Christians ( I had a heated argument with a pastor once because he actually tried to convince me that no matter how devoted to Jesus I was, I COULDN'T go to Heaven if I didn't attend church ).

I was recently telling a friend that if this is time for the openings of the Book of Revelation there will be millions of Christians who will take the mark of the beast.  The vaccine mandate showed how sheepish people are when the government tells them to do something.  I am sorry if that offends anyone, but we saw what happened when the world governments said you could not leave home, fly or go into places without the shot.  The same will happen when they say you cannot buy or sell without the mark.

We just had a teaching at church about the "lukewarm being spewed out."  It makes me so sad that the deceiver is doing his job so well.

I really HOPE we have a great revival or revivals. Many of the apostate churches are closing which is a good thing. Still many more are open.

Factions and divisions in Christianity do really test us, they are hard to avoid.

Last Sunday my oikos discussed the dampening and quenching of freeform worship and spiritual gifts in many congregations.

Heb 12:1-2  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  (2)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I agree. Many people who claim the name of Jesus today would quickly abandon it if Christianity were outlawed or going to church was a prison sentence. It's easy for millions in America to claim Christianity because it's easy to be a Christian in this society.

The mark of the beast will be a true test. It won't be a secret shot they will trick people into taking. It will be a public acknowledgement of turning their back on God willingly. But yes, I do think MOST people who attend church would take the mark when things on earth get heated.

Most churches seem lukewarm. They claim to live for Jesus and love Jesus but they go to churches that cost millions of dollars while poor and needy sit blocks away. They faithfully go to church every Sunday but don't give 1 extra hour a week to volunteering in the community. I'd say 90% of American Christians spend far more time on social media than in God's Word. If people only ate physical food as often as they read their Bible, they would have starved to death long ago.

I wish we had a sad face button for this comment. :emot-crying:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
