First, it is questionable to call them "saints". Those in Judea are party to setting the Beast and his idol in the Holy Place. But let us be generous and let them be the Remnant. Even better, let them be DISCIPLES - for Matthew 24 concerns them.

But the diligent who give heed to the Words of Jesus, should NOT BE IN JUDEA. The Abomination of Desolation signals the beginning of the Great Tribulation (Matt.24:15-21) and to the Overcoming Church member the promise of Revelation 3:10 is valid. The Overcoming Christian is promised to not be there FOR THE TIME (the hour) when it takes place.

Those in Judea are the ones LEFT. They heed neither Christ nor His Word! Those in Judea are Jews who have agreed to the Gentiles trampling the Temple Court (Rev.11).

And yes,I call them saints because the word of God calls them saints.

Daniel 7

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

The saints are persecuted for a time, times and a half.

They did not flee.

Jesus  tells his disciples, they should look up when they begin to see these things in the Olivet discourse .

The saints don't need to flee, they only need to look up .Look closely at verse 28.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Keep it in context.Context is key.

Verse 36 is talking about the same king as Daniel 11:32.

32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall [a]corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Daniels continues speaking of this king in Daniel 11:36

36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done.

This is the same vile king from Daniel 11:21.who came to power after he raiser of taxes.

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.

Don’t you think this is the same evil one mentioned in Daniel 7 and 8 - the little horn? He will continue until the second coming when he will be destroyed without human hands.

No,the king of the north is the one who gives a host to the little horn to abolish the daily sacrifice. He comes to his end in Daniel 11:45 which is at the time of the second coming but he's not the little horn.

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

The king of the north gives the little horn a host(his armed forces). The little horn is the Israeli government(Israel). The king of the north is Israels biggest supporter.

The little horn=the beast from.the sea

The host=the false prophet

And these are the saints who don't flee.

Daniel 11:33-35

Wise leaders will give instruction to many, but these teachers will die by fire and sword, or they will be jailed and robbed.
During these persecutions, little help will arrive, and many who join them will not be sincere.

And some of the wise will fall victim to persecution. In this way, they will be refined and cleansed and made pure until the time of the end, for the appointed time is still to come.

The king in verse 32 is Antiochus IV.    The ones doing exploits are the Maccabees who fought against him.   Those are historical (to our time).

Differently, the king in verse 36 is time of the end, in the role of being the beast-king, who ultimately will come to his destruction in verse 45, between the seas on the temple mount.

So you believe the saints are being killed in Daniel 11:33-35 for instructing people about antiochus in Daniel 11:32.

Perhaps you should try to keep the verses in context Instead of separating them by hundreds of years. But this time ,leave Jason's false doctrine out of Daniels prophecies..

The people who know their God in Daniel 11:32 are the wise teachers in 11:33.

Daniel 11:32-35

He will flatter and win over those who have violated the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him.
Wise leaders will give instruction to many, but these teachers will die by fire and sword, or they will be jailed and robbed.

No, verse 32 is about Antiochus IV, and the Maccabees who opposed him.

Verses 33-35 are about the church age, Christians, for the passed 2000 years, leading up to the time of the end.    The time of the end beast-king is verses 36-45.

We are now living in that time of the end period.   Soon to take place - Gog/Magog, then the seven years, then Armageddon - and Jesus's return to this earth, accompanied by His saints.

Not "SUPPOSED TO FLEE"! The command of none other than our Lord Jesus is "FLEE WITHOUT TAKING 30 SECONDS TO GET YOUR COAT" (SEE Matthew 24:16-18)

I do not want to derail this thread, but this could be associated. In the exodus, God provided manna and quail to feed Israel. In Revelation 12:6, who do you suppose the "they" are that feed the remnant of Israel?

Dennis, the "they" are the two witnesses, who will feed them the word of God, during their 1260 testimony time in Jerusalem.
