It says put on the new man and take off the old man. It’s a war. But we can do it by obedience to the word. We were born again as children of God. So we must remember who we are. A royal family. I do agree with what your saying thst our Faith is like a Seed Planted by God( this would be that measure of Faith we as Believers are Given) as yes indeed,it will grow,mature and bear Fruit BUT I'd like to add that " we" as Born Again Believers have to water it,give nourshment/nutrients and keep everything around the environment from obstructing the Light it requires to grow and blossom So yes,you are right and our part in it is not an obligation or even mandatory but because of He Who Abides in us we Love to tend to our Garden that it Produces Good Fruit.... I also agree with you Brother Waynd except I would not say that " effort" is required of us- funnily enough I often think the less effort we put forth the better off we are because it is the submission that results in effortlessly walking in Spirit and in Truth- if I'm wording this as it is within the Eyes of my Heart We are Drawn unto Him,when our Hearts Desire is to Know Him,Seek Him and Be Nearer to Him we are Compelled to Move with Him in the Direction He Leads ahd Guides,,every footstep-ignoring the cares of this world and stepping out of the way of distraction,keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and putting Hjm First,Above all we are not lead into temptation and do not sin against God Much easier Saud than done in these bodies of flesh BUT that is the struggle between flesh and Spirit With love in Christ,Kwik 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We shall always be tempted in the flesh, and with regard to that, we are encouraged to be overcomers, so we can work on that, while conquering our dislike, or even our hatred, with our God-given spirit of love.
