Amen. It is said too many times to simply be ignored.

I have heard some wild and wooly beliefs about our "pre-existence"... some so wild and wooly as to be kind of silly. And yet others which do seem to have some biblical "glimpses."

Though not a salvific issue, it's an intriguing one!

I believe a passage of Jeremiah is looking back in time, rather than forward, and God is revealing to him what transpired in this world before the great chaos that left it formless and void, due to the revolt of Satan and his angels, which destroyed a once inhabited world. The very fact that God tells man to "replenish" the earth tells us that in some sense, someone was here before, or a restoration was taking place in Genesis. We have no idea how much time came before the creation of man (or if there was time), when Satan -- then named Hel'el -- was that annointed cherub so pefect and glorious he alone could sit on the mercy seat and reflect the glory of Christ. We know from the prophets during that time (age, epoch, whatever), he had sanctuaries and the angels were under his charge. He had an industry and vocation, a "trade" of some sort which he eventually corrupted; There's a whole history before man came on the scene. Some I guess we're just not privied to. Maybe knowing it all would make us vain... or terrify us.

I can't verify it with scripture but I have a suspicion that we were in spirit form before we became flesh (conceived in the womb) hence God knew us, in the intimate sense of knowing a person very deeply or personally...and we knew Him also.

Many people flinch at the thought of predestination but I tend to agree with it because of verses which support Him knowing us before the foundations of the world.

I have to tell you Cats, God is so on time! I just asked him the night before last if eternal life means I was always here and the Holy Spirit said, No, only God is eternal, you were created!

I think the thing that is so hard for us to understand is, that God created time.......think about that for a minute.........He doesn't exist in time, He is the great I Am, He was already there, He is already there too, past present and future are all RIGHT NOW to Him. He is over us, sort of like a helicopter hovers, seeing it all at once, so 6000 years ago or 6000 years from now is NOW! Isn't that WILD? That is the most amazing thing to me! He gave us free will so the choice is really ours whether or not we accept Him, but He already knew, (knows) what choice we will make and adjusts the most minute details of this life accordingly or because of, or however you want to put it.

I don't believe He predestines our choice, just that He knew it and works out His great plan accordingly. WOW! The Bible says He even uses the wicked to bless the righteous! So say he knew some rich person was going to reject Him and then He knew one of his children was going to need something...He works it all out!

I'm rambling, it's just so BIG!!!!

What a MIGHTY God we serve! Praise His Holy Name!

Amen Wordsower.

I could not have said it better myself!

Yes, let us praise and worship our Father in Heaven!

God is eternal. For God, there is no time, for He is the creator of it,, but is of a

different realm. Also, God does not need to think, for He knows everything

already!

God knew us before we were even created! That's truly amazing!

God knew billions and billions of people ( through all the milleniums ), before

they were all created, all at once!

WORSHIP the Lord brothers and sisters! Worship!

Of course we were all "created"... only God is eternal. Even angels were created.

The question is... WHEN.

WHEN were we created.

many scriptures ellude to the elect being in existence or being known of God before life here in the flesh began. Here's just one beautiful example...

"The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men." Prov 8:22

If the elect did once inhabitate the Earth, we surely don't remember it, that's

for sure.

But, didn't God know EVERYONE before they were created?

God bless you Zeb.

Sure, I guess it would be impossible for him NOT to have known everyone before they were created :D

But the passage from Psalms above and a few others seems to say

a lot more than just God knowing us, as in, planning us or having us

in mind

Zeb: Just as a quick sideline..are you a she-person or a he-person. I don't want to call you, "Bruh" and you be a she. Or a "Sis" and you be a guy...

It's kinda unclear.

For the record, I'm most definitely a she-person and certified chocoholic. :D

Zebulon, what a wonderful teacher you are.

I did stop and lifted up my arms and worshiped and it was such a blessing.

Thank you.

Praise God, it is so beautiful to read.

Cats -- Im a HE person and a certified Chocoholic myself (In fact, I just finished making my first batch of utterly sugar free chocolate... something I'm experimenting with with Splenda, since Nutrasweet /aspartame/ is such evil stuff!) :D

Partoftheflock -- Well bless you!

I love that passage of Psalms SO much. It's impossible not to lift up ones arms

and sing praises to the Lord! :b:

We are so blessed!

We are so loved!

How rich we are to have Jesus!

He is our shepherd

We shall not want

ok, a little chocolate wanting here and there, but other than that... :D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
