tonight i gave my youth pastor his bday gift.....4 cd's I spent $50 on them (they were on sale). He was really grateful for them but then like everyone ignored me for the entire night.....its like this every sunday and wednesday. I dont want to say anything about it, but its killing me inside. I'm on the verge of tears whenever im at youth group. Like i was going to leave and i was going to hug him and he walked by i guess paying no attention and then he turned around and hugged me real quick and then acted distracted. I dont know anymore....i try and try....yet im always the one teen who is left out in the cold, and it hurts. So bad. I guess this is just a vent.

I know it's tough feeling like the only one being left out - I should know, I spent most of my life being the outcast in school. The cause of the situation could be a couple things. Are you shy? Do you feel like it's hard to get your comments in on the discussions because people overpower you? Because if this is the case it may not be that they are ignoring you, only that they are not used to people not interjecting when they have something to say...so they just continue talking, assumeing that if you had something to say you would interject something. It almost always is not the case that people will go out of their way to ignore someone, it's more likely that they just don't notice you. I know the case with me is that because I'm kind of shy I'm very easily overlooked...it may be the same with you. Try to be more outgoing, show you're happy to be there and be interested in everyone...it's hard not to notice someone who is a very nice person :o. Whatever you do don't despair over this, because more than likely your mind is blowing it out of proportion - I do this ALL the time....say my friend says she doesn't want to see me, and my head jumps to "She doesn't like to see me!" when the truth is my friend only got two hours of sleep the last night and is too tired to do anything. Put things in perspective, and perhaps talk to your youth leader about it - I bet he will tell you that he wasn't ignoreing you, or snubbing you!

Good luck with this...I will pray for you :o

Hi,

I know how u feel, i can definately relate 2 that. I was and still am the shy type and always feel out of place.

You know what, u r unique thats why u feel different. I know a song that goes:-

'Some times u feel, like u dont fit in,

coz u dont look like, all ur other friends.

U got ur own thing going on, girl ur so unique,

u r just the way that God intended 4 u to b.'

'Little girl, little girl wonder r u listening,

little girl, little girl struggling with ur confidence,

little girl, little girl God made u so beautiful,

little girl, little girl I just thought that u should know'

The kids in ur youth and the pastor definately love u. They mayb think ur just the quiet type coz u dont talk much so they like dont wanna crowd u. They also find u sweet and r actually shying away from u. Like the pastor seemed to shy off thats why he gave a quick hug, he was so touched by ur gift and didn't know how 2 react. U will definately feel at home some day and dont stop doing good deeds 2 others, what u do doesn't go unnoticed, people and God do notice and ur reward will b great.

So "cutiepie1497" continue going 2 church and b happy. Someday u shall b a great woman of God.

God bless!!!

yes, I read it. I don't know though...I play an active part in the youth group and participate in about 95% of all trips and activities....I love them to death and all but this is getting old, being ignored. They used to not ignore me but now they do, Im not exactly sure what happened there. Anyways.....I can tell today is going to be a bad day because of last night.

P.S.....I get midterms today and have a C in spanish.....I need to have it up to a B by report cards in like 4 weeks........please pray that I can bring it up. God has helped me many times with academics and I know he can do it again, I just have to do my part.....thanks

Hi,

You'll surely b a great woman of God becoz u love 2 do good and participate 95% , this already 2 God shows how much u love him and want 2 work 4 him.

Am going thru something similar, at my church, we have 2 do cleaning up and most people rarely do it, but u know what i asked myself ; Am i doing it 4 man or Gods' glory? Remember only God shall reward u not man. If the other kids just seem 2 ignore u now means that ur definately been noticed. Sorry but 4get people and stop trying 2 please anybody. Just do whats right, u'll always b lifted up.

"The proud shall b humbled, but the humble shall b made proud"

I have no doubt u will get a good grade. Just trust the lord 2 open ur mind to read and understand everything in ur studies. I' ll definately pray 4 u.

God bless!!!

hi "cutiepie1497",

I hope today was and will b a better day 4 u than yesterday. It seems ur still feeling bad about the feelings. Pliz stop concentrating on how bad u feel, coz it will just get u feeling worse.

Look at the positive side of life, or should i say the sunny side of life. Jesus lives in u and luvs u no matter what. I know its hard since the kids really r ignoring u even when u talk 2 them, I kind of dont get it. Could there b that something happened b4 or?

I really think u have 2 talk 2 God about it. I also suggest the youth Pastor 2. He might encourage u on this matter better since he knows the other kids. Try this and lets c what happens. O.K.

Pliz read the book of 1John. Read the whole of it, its pretty short. I read it last night and i woke up today feeling much better, am really praying and working on my emotions. 1John showed me alot of stuff that makes life much more easier. Hope u read and give a testimony soon.

God bless!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
