If evil were in the original week of creation then you have God blessing and sanctifying it
Genesis 2:1-3 (KJV)

[2:1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Is that what you are claiming?

Darkness, before the law was brought in was not known to be evil, just something contrary to the light that God was….

But the question that needs to be answered is; Where did that darkness come from..?

For until it is seen, Genesis will remain a knot that can not be untied….

I think you are confusing physical darkness with spirit darkness ... God did not create evil as mistranslated in KJV
Isaiah 45:7 (KJV)

[7] I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

As this is referring to the created curse placed upon creation due to the fall of man...

The reason I know this is because of the Makeup of God 
1 John 1:5 (KJV)

[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

As this demands we understand the difference from physical light and darkness and s/Spiritual light and darkness... because God says this
John 4:24 (KJV)

[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

As the physical realities can only point too the realties of God but not encompass them for they began ... only the Spiritual can contain His substance of Spirit... thus tying it all together we understand that Spiritual Light can have no part in spiritual darkness for the Spiritual light is God and His truth and spiritual darkness is from the lie satan first formed in his being that he would be god... thus evil was born out of lie as this is not a creative distinctive but perversion of truth...

The only way I have to pursue the Lord is through His Word... and that is done through reason

It is the foundation upon which we are to build our minds as precept upon precept

[10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

As this reason progresses it should be more and more clear and able for babes to receive
