Satan has many names and one of  them is the counterfeiter, so we are to be wise also what we let into our soul, body and spirit.

Are you saying speaking in tongues is counterfeit.

How did the 120+ people on the Day of Pentecost know they were "Baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire" which John prophesied. They spoke in tongues. Clear Scripture.

Acts 2.41-42: "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

There is a lot of confusion about how tongues is administered and spoken.  As I said before, those who have the gift, they alone will know if it genuine or not.  Satan can counterfeit spiritual things too.  Take Moses and his encounter with Pharoah and the rod that turned into serpents.   Those are biblical acts that took place.

I am not the judge of others, I gave my testimony as to what I have encountered in my life journey with the spiritual realm.

Believe me those who heard Peter's message (3000 souls) who were so convicted by the power of God as how to be saved? Not for one moment will you get me to believe they didn't follow Acts 2:38 to the letter. (including speaking in tongues)

They were not saved by tongues; and not everything in Acts in that initial Apostolic period is normative for today.

Anyone who has repented of their sin who truly desire (without doubt, without any denominational or man theological thought, clear mind) to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues will.

Not me. Again, you are letting your personal experience dictate your doctrine.

Acts 2:38 lays out the apostolic pattern: repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and the receiving of the Holy Ghost. Speaking in tongues, as described in Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, and Acts 19:6, serves as an outward sign of this inner transformation and empowerment by the Holy Spirit. The Baptism of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues, provides a dimension of spiritual empowerment and intimacy with God. It is a gift available to all believers who earnestly seek it with an open heart, free from doubt and preconceived theological constraints. This experience deepens their relationship with Christ and equips them for service and victorious living.

Your have forgotten to whom he is speaking ; National Israel. Therefore, his message was 1) Repent (from rejection of the Messiah) 2) Be baptized FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS??? That is clearly not the message Paul taught (BELIEF in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for eternal life) 3) receive the gift of the HS. A gift needs not be asked for nor prayed for. Re-read Romans 8:9. I am saved by faith. Received the gift of the HS (baptized With, not IN) Been baptized into the body of Christ. Submitted to water baptism as an outward sign of the inward work of God. Gifted by God with various 1 Cor. 12 gifts and am currently a Rom. 12 teacher. I have been saved for 48 years and never once spoke in tongues. IF that is a proof of having the HS, the rest of my life which has given evidence of His work in my life is bogus according to you. Experience does not prove doctrine, but doctrine will bear witness to experience. I don't deny your experience, in fact agree that the gift is valid, but I differ with your explanation. Blessings.

So it was good enough for the Apostle but not for us. That would be ridiculous.

Not me. Again, you are letting your personal experience dictate your doctrine.

In matters of faith and doctrine, it's essential to ground our beliefs firmly in the authoritative Word of God rather than relying solely on personal experiences. The Bible serves as our ultimate guide, revealing God's will and His plan for our lives. When we speak of receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues, it's not merely based on personal experiences but on the consistent biblical pattern and promises found throughout Scripture.

Acts 2:38 declares, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." This promise is not limited by denominational or theological differences but is available to all who repent and seek God with a sincere heart. Acts 2:4 affirms that those who received the Holy Ghost spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. This biblical pattern continues throughout Acts and in the epistles, demonstrating that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues, is a consistent experience for believers.

While personal experiences can vary, the biblical truth remains constant and reliable. My view concerning the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is not shaped by personal preferences or denominational traditions but by the clear teachings of Scripture. Therefore, it is our responsibility to align our beliefs with the Word of God, allowing Scripture to guide and shape our understanding of spiritual matters. As believers, we must encourage others to seek God earnestly, according to His Word, trusting that He will fulfill His promises to those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6)

This is the best explanation

These verses show that speaking in tongues is other earthy languages so that people could understand what was being said. Also one must have an interpreter in church or public.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
