I normally don't respond to posts like this, but, I have to say that this 'fake' assassination got one innocent person killed and another in critical condition. I know that you and I are both reacting to this event, but, as time goes on more will be revealed about the actual circumstances of what happened.

One thing is clear - either the shooter missed (not by much I might add), or, God's miraculous hand deflected the bullet meant to kill president Trump.

'Fake' has nothing to do with this event.

Well that part of the posting may be a stretch too far. The shooter is only 20 year sold, evidently has registered as a Republican and given a tiny amount of money ($16 and change) at age 17  or 18 to  some political pac.  He is now dead, neutralized.

"Neutralized" a strange term one that does not  even acknowledge a human has been executed in what amounts to a counter  to a lethal attack. 

Three active supporters of a political candidate have been shot; one of them killed, a shooter killed, and a candidate wounded. Just another day in the USA.

Let's go on as usual? Nearly everybody having access to weapons of war and plenty of ammunition being the goal, done under the banner of  and in the name of freedom's defense; how's that work'n for us lately? What good value; this particular freedom to be able to shoot lethal weaponry with intent to kill one another for what one may consider to be just cause?

What was it, 102 living individuals, most likely each one loved by someone, shot in just Chicago over the 4th of July weekend? Might something be working out wrongly in the USA's prevailing thought that everyone should be able to have lethal weapons and unlimited ammo at their immediate disposal?

Time of the signs as is working itself out in America, home of the free land of the brave, doesn't seem to be an ideal  to emulate around this world to me. Some bright light of a shiny hill this country is, in it's post Christianity state it has rapidly  become a land of many horrors for young and old alike.

May God have mercy upon this land, and it's many peoples from many places.

I would call him deranged, violent, useful idiot, suicidal,  one  now dead for no good cause served. There are way too many "useful idiots" that take the rhetoric of political discourse literally. Shame that politics has gotten so  bizarre.

To see two individuals in that crowd gone berserk yelling and flipping off  in violent anger to the cameras(?) is evidence that this awful nonsense is way out of hand in it's extremes on all  sides of issues we debate strongly in this republic, the USA.

It is also  evidence, far as I am concerned that  the USA is removed from the protective cover of the Holy Spirit and is indeed now  a post Christian land, a void being filled with many demons. Every Christian need take part in trying to restore  even the politics of the USA to some semblance of putting God first in all that is done. Doing so  to acknowledge  God's glory.

Ben was saying the same thing I was saying earlier.  I like that Ben Carson, he seems very intelligent and is very soft spoken.

Wife and I both supported Ben Carson, contributed financially to his campaign, and had a bumper stickers, for him to be the 2016 Republican presidential candidate. I was dead set against Trump then as I am today, and only voted for The Donald after   Hilary Rodham Clinton called me ( And all other conservative individuals)  a "bucket of deplorables"  late in the 2016 campaign after the nominations of both parties had been secured. That's when I wrote out a check for the Trump campaign and held my nose later to cast a vote for Trump in 2016.

Just couldn't do it again in 2020  as his  policies were" killing" me financially. Went third party, forgot to whom at this point. And am still with JFK Jr this time around. In for a pint in for a pound, so to speak.

 I am convinced however that God has turned post Christian USA over to  a strong national delusion. Still, I pray that He might relent and grant even this USA of today a reprieve,  that many may be led to repentance of sin against God, and instead towards worship of Jesus  as Lord, God, and personal savior.

BTW: Brilliant surgeon Ben Carson is a "twice baptized" Seventh Day Adventist

Sidenote: The titanium mesh used in that operation was the invention and product  of  one of my family members, along another very brilliant surgeon/inventor whom I had the privilege of knowing, and being around for several decades.

Ben Carson's biography, read in 1998 when I was 13 years old, changed my life. His story and gift (as a neurosurgeon) is impressive. I have much consideration for him. It was right then that this conclusion came to me:  I wanted to be someone who helps kids who don't have a mother like he had. To this day (actually: it happened this morning), when I am down, I think of his story. I remember little Ben being mocked by everyone, but hearing his mother at home: "When you do your best, God does the rest", and I gain new vigor to be avaiable to another little Ben who needs a helping hand.

It has nothing to do with my story, but this post of yours, precisely today, made me smile and I needed it. For that, thank you @Neighbor.
