The only people that study demons are demonologists ( demonology ). I

wouldn't want to study demons. I already know enough about those wicked minions of Satan.

As long as God is with me, I shall not be too concerned with them ( but I know

they are still lurking around, trying to lead me away from the Lord.

God bless you Eric

Who would want to do a study on demons? they are easy to find. If anything isn't of God then it's of the devil.

Someone on this board quoted a saying of the late John Wayne.

if,n ya looking for trouble? ya just found it.

All demons are e-vile as Gary would say. Seek out the good things in Christ.

I think you should study to find out more about your enemy. How he works and just how some of his plans are going.

If you don't teach people about Satan then they will be so weak.

There is an a "competing will" in this earth relm. It is Satans will. So if someone is a baby Christian and they have no knowledge of the enemy they are going to get attacked right away.

I thought of this as I read this post.

A professional boxer for instance may study the video's of his next opponant. To see his boxing style and look for weakness. So that when he fights him he will have an advantage.

Jesus knew full well that He was going to meet and deal with demons. He did not think they did not exist. He knew the world was infested with them.

Jesus always attacked demonization, he never excused it.

Our weapons are faith and prayer. You sound like your serious in your walk with the Lord.

I have been knocked down by attacks and got back up and said, Ok, Satan you might have knocked me down, but I am back up and your not going to get away with it.

I have really seen how things can be restored to you that the devil has taken.

I have ran out of anything else to add to this.

I fear that many brothers and sisters in Christ are walking around and do not know they have an enemy. Because someone thought it was a waste of time to tell them.

"Don't put a question mark where God put a period."

Well, let me say this partoftheflock.

You are absolutely right! And I like the Boxing analogy. You have to know in

advance the weakness of your enemy, or else he'll find yours!

Satan is powerful, and conniving. But, he can be rebuked. If you love the

Lord, and pray, and have faith, and pray for thw Lord to help you battle against Satan and his demons, you shall conquer him.

I know many who would rather not talk about Satan and his demons. But the

thing is, we must, for he is our enemy, no one else.

Thank ypu for sharing that with us Part.

God bless you sister.

Well Part of, and Crusader, if you read your bible regularly enough you should know the enemy and his all of his tecniqes and his wiles and strategies. The bible tell us that he is the master of deception and the father of all lies. So if you keep yourselves topped up with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and are covered with the blood of Jesus, and keep in mind what Paul told the Ephesian church in chapter 6 of his epistle, I dont see what you have to be afraid of. You are told to fear God not the devil. Think about it, blessings,,,eric.

But remember, brother, we fall into sin everyday. We are tempted all the time.

I know what your saying is true, but you have to realize, I'm not scared of the

devil. I am scared of God. But you must keep your guard. How? You must

ask God to help you, and He shall.

God bless you brother.

C4C: They don't usually believe in demons...or do they? Hm...Marilyn Manson and the gang?...Really perverse.

Also, some really excellent posts here...and very productive dialogue...this is what the Body is all about!

I see no problem in tackling demons head-on. Evil or not, demons are responsible for a lot of interesting things going on in the world. I don't think it's quite right to treat demons like we would treat a disease. Demons are angels, and they have intelligence. They have no hope for salvation like we do, so they are all in a state of frenzy. They're doomed to Hell, so what can you do when Hell is inevitable? Evil. Sin. Mischief. Their inevitable state has become their nature. They followed Satan in the beginning, and they have no choice but to follow him to the End. Make sense? The holy Angels are our fellow laborers, so that gives us a degree of relation to demons. I'm not saying that we should be nice to them, I'm just saying that we shouldn't treat the subject of demons impersonally like we would the Plague.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
