Why Nisan 1?
1. Because it is exactly the same day that God's presence filled the Tent of Meeting (Ex 40:2, Ex 40:34). This event was a shadow that foretold the incarnation of God (John 1:14, the greek word "skenoo" literally means "to tent" ). On the same day that God came to earth to live in a tent, God also came to earth to live in a human body. In the New Testament we can clearly see that the old Jewish feasts are fulfilled in Jesus. Some examples: Jesus was sacrificed on the cross on the same day that the Passover lamb was sacrificed, because he is the true Passover lamb, the 14th of Nisan; and Jesus was resurrected on the same day that the first fruits were celebrated, because he is the first to rise from the dead to eternal life, the 16th of Nisan. So it makes sense that Jesus was born on a special Jewish day.

2. Since Jesus is the true Passover lamb (John 1:29), it makes sense that Jesus was born in the month of Nisan, a spring month, because according to the law the Passover lamb must be 1 year old (Ex 12:5). 1 year before the Passover is the month of Nisan.

3. Nisan 1 is the beginning of the new year (Ex 12:2). Jesus was born on the New Year because he is the beginning of the new creation (2 Cor 5:17).

Side note: Most likely the April Fools' Day has its origin in the birthday of Jesus, since Nisan 1 was also called April 1. The enemies of Christ have turned his birthday into a day of mockery.

Why 5 BCE?
Bible records:
-that Jesus' ministry began when he was baptized at the age of 30 (Luke 3:21-23)
-that Jesus' ministry lasted 3.5 years (Daniel 9:27; 4 Passovers: John 2:13, 5:1, 6:4, 11:55)
-that Jesus was baptized in the 15th year of Tiberius (Luke 3:1)
-that Jesus was born before Herod died (Matt 2:20)

History records:
-that Tiberius 15th year of his reign was 26 CE (his co-princeps began in 12 CE)
-that Herod died 4 BCE

Conclusions:
If the 15th year of Tiberius is 26 CE, then Jesus was 30 years old at that time. If Jesus was 30 years old in 26 CE, then he was born 5 BCE. So the crucifixion of Jesus was 30 CE, since Jesus ministry lasted 3.5 years. And since Jesus was crucified on the 14th of Nisan, he was crucified only 13 days after his birthday, which means he was 34 years and 13 days old when he died.

Christmas is not on December 25. Christmas is on Nisan 1.

New Year is not on January 1. New Year is on Nisan 1.

If you are a true Christian, you should follow the biblical calendar.

You shouldn't follow the catholic-pagan calendar.

The belief that Jesus was born on Tishri 1 is wrong. I have given good reasons why Jesus must have been born on Nisan 1.

And 3 BCE is also wrong, since Herod died 4 BCE.

Herod died in 1bc

Most historians say he died 4 BCE.

John P. Meier’s famous Historical Jesus series, A Marginal Jew:

Quote

The attempts by a few historians to prove that Herod the Great died in some other year [than 4 BC] have not met with general acceptance. For example, W. E. Filmer (“The Chronology of the Reign of Herod the Great,” JTS 17 [1966] 283–98) uses contorted arguments in an attempt to establish that Herod died instead in 1 B.C. As Timothy D. Barnes points out very well (“The Date of Herod’s Death”, JTS 19 [1968] 204–9), Filmer’s thesis collides with two major pieces of evidence: (1) Herod’s successors all reckoned their reigns as beginning in 5–4 B.C. (2) The synchronisms with events datable in the wider context of the history of the Roman Empire—synchronisms made possible by Josephus’ narrative of the circumstances attending Herod’s death—make 1 B.C. almost impossible to sustain. Barnes goes on to suggest that perhaps December of 5 B.C. may be a better candidate for the date of Herod’s death than March/April of 4 B.C. As is the case with other alternatives, this innovation has not met with general approval.

The question of Herod’s death is taken up once more in a number of essays in the Chronos, Kairos, Christos volume edited by Verdaman [sic] and Yamauchi. Ernest L. Martin (“The Nativity and Herod’s Death,” 85–92) revives the theory that Herod died in 1 B.C., with Jesus’ birth placed in 3 or 2 B.C. This does not receive support from the other contributors to the volume who address the same issue. Douglas Johnson (“‘And They Went Eight Stades Towards Herodeion,’” 93–99) defends the traditional date of 4 B.C. for Herod’s death, pointing out that Martin has mistranslated a key text concerning Herod’s funeral in Ant. 17.8.3 §199. Harold W. Hoehner (“The Date of the Death of Herod the Great,” 101–11) likewise champions 4 B.C. Paul L. Maier (“The Date of the Nativity and the Chronology of Jesus’ Life,” 113–30) adds still another voice in favor of 4 B.C.... All in all, the scattered attempts to undermine 4 B.C. as the year of Herod’s death must be pronounced a failure (emphasis and bracketed clarification added).

I have studied this. I know it better. I am a slave of God.

How can someone doubt after he has read my reasons?

Have I not explained it enough? Why do you still believe Jesus was born in December or Tishri if I have clearly shown to you that he was born in Nisan 1?

I know it better than you, because I studied it myself. I have read the Bible completely. I am just a slave of God.

Josephus referred to the lunar eclipse of March 13, 4 BCE.

But let's assume Herod died in 1 BCE and Jesus was born in 3 BCE. Then we have a problem because if Jesus was born in 3 BCE, this means he was 30 years old in 28 CE. If he was 30 in 28 CE, and we add his 3.5 years ministry, this means he was crucified in 32 CE. This can't be because in 32 CE, Nisan 14 was not a Friday. But the Bible says Jesus was crucified on Nisan 14, Friday. The only years where Nisan 14 was a Friday between 30-33 were 30 CE and 33 CE. It's not possible.

Although I have shown that Jesus was born on Nisan 1,

people still don't believe me.

Although I have explained it biblically,

people still say I am wrong.

Instead of following the Biblical calendar,

people still follow the catholic-pagan calendar.

Oh my God, thank you for making me a slave.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
