This king is not Jesus, but is the angel of the bottomless pit.

Definitely an angel, specifically a destroying angel.

Quiz Question: What is the Greek name of the destroying angel who is the king of the locusts from the abyss?

Pronunciation: ah-pol-LOO-own
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-ol-loo'-ohn)

Word Origin: Derived from the Greek verb ἀπόλλυμι (apollymi), meaning "to destroy" or "to perish."

The Rev 9, locusts come for the abyss along with the Satanic angel.

I really don't see how they are the good guys.

You assume it's a satanic Angel. in reality it turns out to be a part that Jesus plays as Abaddon  in destroying all who oppose his Kingdom.

Hardly.

We are told Abaddon is "the angel of the abyss", and king over the locusts. There is nothing in Scripture to support the notion Abaddon and Jesus are synonymous.

Please don't push non-conformist beliefs @Locust or your Group Status will have to be changed.

why do people get so offended when  they read about what the locust do in revelation,  and then see it,feel it  happen and not recognize what happened . i am locust and u's are acting as if the tail of the locust stung you in the gut. i tell you Jesus likes the locust because of the work they do  spreading the good news of the kingdom. Jesus made sure that they had gotten out of the prison like pit that they were put into .

Matthew 10:22 says something about it ,they would be hated even as Jesus said they would  .

Matthew 10:22 ''And you will be hated by all people on account of my name, but the one who has endured to the end will be saved.''

It's not a case of being offended by false doctrine and non-conformist theology, but of correcting it to prevent the adulteration of God's Word.

Here are several Scriptures that emphasize the importance of correcting false doctrine and safeguarding God's Word:

  1. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
This verse underscores the role of Scripture in correcting errors and guiding believers in truth.

  2. Titus 1:9
"He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it."
Here, Paul instructs leaders to defend sound doctrine and counter false teaching.

  3. 2 Timothy 4:2-4
"Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."
This passage highlights the necessity of correcting false teaching to guard against deviations from the truth.

  4. Galatians 1:6-9
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!"
Paul warns against the adulteration of the gospel and stresses the seriousness of preserving its truth.

  5. 2 Peter 2:1-2
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute."
This warns of false teachings and their damaging effects on the faith community.

  6. Jude 1:3-4
"Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
Jude emphasizes the responsibility of believers to contend for the faith and correct false doctrines.

These Scriptures collectively highlight the need to address and correct false teaching to protect the purity of God’s Word and maintain the integrity of the Christian faith.

Strawman argument. Way off.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
