Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated sharply in recent days, with reports emerging that Iran is contemplating a preemptive military strike on a U.S. base in the region.

This development comes in response to provocative statements attributed to President Donald Trump, who reportedly threatened to bomb Iran if it continued to pursue actions hostile to U.S. interests.
The situation has drawn significant attention from global news outlets, highlighting the potential for a dramatic escalation in an already volatile Middle East.

The Ramstein summit will take place after the meeting of the coalition of the willing, a group of countries that have pledged peacekeeping troops and other security guarantees for Ukraine in a potential ceasefire.

The coalition's meeting is set for April 10 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels and will be hosted by French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu and U.K. Defense Secretary John Healey, according to the U.K. Joint Delegation to NATO.

While there was a pause in drone strikes, Russia continued heavy bombardment on Monday and Tuesday, targeting Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk with glide bombs.  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to Russia’s overnight attack, asserting that Russian President Vladimir Putin refuses to ensure even a partial ceasefire.

Unnamed US officials said Washington’s anger has shifted from Kyiv to Moscow in recent weeks, and it’s eyeing additional measures to begin pressuring Moscow.

Trump on Wednesday announced China would be hit with a 34% tariff, on top of the 20% he previously imposed earlier this year, bringing the total new levies to 54%.

China firmly opposes this and will take countermeasures to safeguard its own rights and interests," the ministry said, as the world's largest economies look set to spiral deeper into a trade war that stands to upend global supply chains.

The U.S. government has banned American government personnel in China, as well as family members and contractors with security clearances, from any romantic or sexual relationships with Chinese citizens.

No change in posturing between Ukraine and Russia, both slinging missiles/drones at each other with continued ground fighting along Ukraine eastern border.  Loss of life on both sides continues.

No change in Middle East hostilities - Yemen continues to launch missiles towards Israel with USA making strikes on Yemen targets.  Israel hitting targets in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza.

No change in hostage situation.  Gaza did show proof of life for 2 hostages.

AFRICA - An unprecedented explosion of conflicts has carved a trail of death and destruction across the breadth of Africa—from Mali near the continent’s western edge all the way to Somalia on its eastern Horn.

Africa is now experiencing more conflicts than at any point since at least 1946, according to data collected by Uppsala University in Sweden and analyzed by Norway’s Peace Research Institute Oslo.

Many people don’t die in the fighting itself but from hunger and the breakdown of medical services.

The intensifying conflicts have displaced a record number of Africans—most of them inside their own countries. The continent is now home to nearly half of the world’s internally displaced people, some 32.5 million at the end of 2023. That figure has tripled in just 15 years.

In the absence of the U.S. and other Western governments, other powers have doubled down—and often to the detriment of local populations.

Jihadists are murdering, raping, torturing, kidnapping, enslaving, and, in some instances, burning people alive — across Africa, and now in Syria.

The official logo for the central torch-lighting ceremony at Mount Herzl, which marks the 77th anniversary of the State of Israel, has been officially unveiled. The new design reflects the theme for this year's ceremony—"Bridges of Hope"—symbolizing the connections and shared aspirations among the diverse sectors of Israeli society.

The logo incorporates a graphic fusion of the Star of David and the number 77, depicted as a dual-sided bridge radiating beams of light—an emblem intended to convey hope and optimism for the future. The number is rendered in yellow, serving as both a tribute to the hostages and a powerful expression of the national yearning for their swift and safe return from captivity in Gaza.

The NATO chief on Tuesday raised concern about China’s arms buildup and military drills near Taiwan and called on the organization’s members and friendly nations to work together to keep free and open sea lanes in the region. “China is supporting Russia’s efforts. China is building up its armed forces, including its navy, at a rapid pace,” NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte told reporters as he wrapped up his visit to the Japanese navy port of Yokosuka.

Japan considers China as a threat in the region and has in recent years accelerated military buildup, including preparing to acquire strikeback capability with long-range cruise missiles.
Japan, in addition to the United States, has expanded its defense ties with other friendly nations in the Indo-Pacific and Europe, as well as NATO, saying Russia’s war on Ukraine underscores that security risks in Europe and Asia are inseparable.

Israel and Turkey are engaged in ongoing negotiations to establish a deconfliction mechanism in Syria, aiming to prevent unintended military confrontations as both countries increase their presence in the region, Middle East Eye reported, citing Western officials.

Despite Turkey’s plans to install air defence systems and operate from Syrian bases, Israeli officials believe there has been progress toward a working agreement. According to Western sources, Israel continues to push for the demilitarisation of southern Syria, which includes limiting Turkish presence in that area.

Ukraine’s claim that significant numbers of Chinese nationals are fighting alongside Russia’s invading army is “totally unfounded,” a Beijing official said Wednesday.

A Chinese national captured by Ukrainian forces said he paid 300,000 rubles (roughly $3,500) to a middleman in China to join the Russian military in exchange for the promise of citizenship, Ukraine's Luhansk military unit press service told Ukrainian Pravda on April 9.

A security source on Wednesday morning said that the IDF has destroyed around 25% of Hamas' tunnels in Gaza, Channel 12 News reported.
According to the report, the defense echelon believes that there is a significant number of smuggling tunnels which cross from Gaza into Egypt.

Experts said that this vast tunnel network is the reason Israel has not yet succeeded in its stated goal of dismantling Hamas, as the terrorist group's forces would stand little chance against the IDF if they were forced to fight entirely aboveground.

Since Tuesday, the IAF has struck over 45 terror targets throughout Gaza. Guided by intelligence, the Southern Command, and the ISA, the IAF struck a site for manufacturing weapons, a launch site with ready-to-use rockets aimed towards Israeli territory, military structures, weapons storehouses, and terror cells.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
