no.....no one has ever been attracted to me, ever, at any time in my life. I wouldn't say I am feeling sorry for myself, I'm not, just sometimes I wonder if any guy will ever want to marry me and start a family. I feel so ugly compared to all the other girls....so....different. And my morals are different from the girls who go from boyfriend to boyfriend, since I have been here I have seen several several go through 3 boyfriends in what? 2 years? I guess its the fact no one finds me to be beautiful, attractive, girlfriend material, but you know what? High school dating hardly ever ends up in marriage and I had rather wait until college and find someone who wants me for my personality, not just for my body, which is probably why people don't find me attractive......anyways......just wanted to get this off my chest. Hopefully I will turn from an ugly duckling to a swan in a few years so I won't be so much uglier than most girls....

Just because you think no one finds you attractive etc doesn't mean that no one does!!

I thought that about myself but I have since been proved wrong! For instance, when I first met my current boyfriend (who I have been with for nearly 2 years) I didn't think he liked me...it turned out that he fancied me from the off! I always thought no one found me attractive but in the past 2 or so years, I have had so many guys asking me out or hitting on me, I'm shocked!

Some people are just too shy and too afraid of rejection to put their hearts (and reputation) on the line and ask someone out or tell them how they feel. Just because no one has approached you doesn't mean no one wants too!

i knew a girl in high school....she looked basically wierd and yes ugly...looking back on mine and some others photos we all looked pretty awkward and dorky ourselves...

i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but to me physically she was frighteningly ugly...but she was my friend and she was nice ...but she honestly looked scary..

i dont know what was wrong or why she looked this way...but by senior year she improved greatly and actually looked 'normal'....and had guys talking to her

so you never know how people will develop...i noticed her go from extreme low confidence and hanging her head to acting normal ...i dont know if she did something different like get contacts change hairstyle apply noxema and actually i think she did do things to improve herself AND IT WORKED...also her inner self was changing too...her confidence improving from the inside out and it showed....the last time i saw her she was actually pretty and outgoing and had a boyfriend ...i was so happy for her...

so yes people change but some of those changes start with you....so do what you can to improve your looks ...hairstyle, clear skin, flattering clothing...and by that i dont mean 'showing it all' ....i mean clothing that suits your individual body type...

so work on improving what you can...it will be fun and you can experiment with the looks you want...but most important ask God to guide your inner man....so that you will be beautiful inside and out...

dont be so down on yourself ....you are in a growing phase...but most of all dont be afraid to experiment on your look with hairstyles , modest make up and clothing...you will look and feel better and you might be surprised at how things work out for you

as far as boyfriends and dating...i dont feel you should stress that....i never dated at all in high school and i didnt feel i missed a thing....i waited for college also to start having a boyfriend and it was much better that way in my opinion...so dont rush that...things will happen for you i promise they will ...you ll see

i can tell you things will chnage if you let them.

when i was in high school, i was the outcast, the one no one liked. i had people who literally tried to kill me. my teachers tried to tell me it was the boys way of showing their affection (if so they needn't bother).

in my last two years of high school i had my first semi-serious boyfriend (no one believed he existed).

two years later, after putting God first (Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.) i went to Bible college and there met my now husband of 4 years, who thinks i am beautiful. sometimes i still have to be convinced, but hey!

if he thinks i am beautiful.... who am i to argue!!

you are 16 years old... give yourself to God (completely) and give yourself time.

i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all ....

melissa528 brings a very interesting point that amazingly I recently wrote about in another forum where people posted their pics:

BTW. If you want to see ugly, i also posted a collage of pics about me at my board (click here, but be warned.)

Anyway, in regards to the post with all the pictures I said:

"You all look as the baddest, ugliest of the fools in this world.. yea me too, a chief sinner that Christ Jesus came to save!"

1Co. 3:18, 1Tm. 1:15

by "ugliest" here i mean of course the ugly of the flesh carnality that brings sin; and not the ugly of apperance in the eye of the beholder.

I believe rather that true beauty lieth on the heart of the beholder. Yea, and if Christ be in our heart, together we truly are transformed to the most beautiful bride ever in appearance and virtue.

And on a further reply note here cometh the salt:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
