ROME/BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – The Italian Union of Jewish Communities (UCEI) has expressed concern about Saturday’s massive march in Rome, organized to protest against the plight of Palestinian civilians in Gaza amid Israel’s war against Hamas.

Some 50,000 people were due to participate in the march, according to organizers. However, “We are concerned about the choice to defend only one people, the Palestinian people, and not the Israeli people too, with one flag and not two,” said UCEI President Noemi Di Segni in published remarks.

“Although we understand the spirit that drives the organizers, we express strong concern and feel it is our duty to point out the shortcomings and inconsistencies,” he added in remarks published by Italy’s National Associated Press Agency (ANSA).

“Nonetheless, we remain convinced that the ‘two peoples and two states’ option is still the goal we are morally obliged to achieve,” the ICEI leader stressed.

“Hence the appeal to always show both flags, never just one.”

There was no sign of that happening ahead of Saturday’s rally, when protesters dyed Rome’s iconic Acqua Paola fountain, known locally as “Fontanone,” red.

Protesters entered the site, which featured in the opening scene of the Oscar-winning film The Great Beauty, holding banners calling for an end to the violence in Gaza.

‘BLOOD BATH’

Messages included “Stop the blood bath in Gaza” and “Stop Genocide”, urging an end to military trade deals and demanding immediate humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.

Israel has strongly denied that it carries out genocide, saying Hamas fighters are using civilians as human shields. The war in Gaza broke out after Hamas attacked Israel, killing some 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others.

The Hamas-controlled Health Ministry says that more than 54,000 people have died since the war broke out, without differentiating between combatants and civilians. Israel has given somewhat lower estimates and says about 20,000 Hamas fighters are among the dead.

The war in Gaza has also been linked to growing incidents of antisemitism in Italy and other countries.

Italy’s national coordinator for the fight against antisemitism has pledged to tackle hatred toward Jews after a report showed documented expressions of antisemitic hatred rose from 455 in 2023 to 877 last year.

The annual report by the Antisemitism Observatory of the Contemporary Jewish Documentation Center Foundation, a Jewish community watchdog, said the increase was “unprecedented” in Italy’s post-World War II history.

I'd like to understand why you would say something like that. You're actually implying that there's a probability that anyone who is pro Palestinian desires to commit an act of violence.

As it stands right now the  majority of humanity believes that we are actually witnessing a genocide taking place before our very eyes. The only ones who don't believe that are Israelis and Christian Zionists.

None of this has God's blessing.

God is using Israel to FREE Gaza from Hamas ... just as He is using Israel to FREE Lebanon from Hezbollah ...just as He is using Israel to FREE Iran from the Ayatollah!

Why don't you reflect and see how God is trying to redeem the entire Middle East ... including the sons of Ishmael. :)

You are witnessing a spiritual war in the Middle East -- until you start looking at the events in the Middle East in that lens, you will continue to spew out rhetoric that doesn't have its basis on facts!   40,000 lives (24,000 terrorists) out of 2.2 million -- is .018% -- under 2%!

I remember that you said also that you "only heard positive things about" Hitler youth, which is totally unacceptable and unrepresentative.

Shalom, peace, to you, @Luther.

What the UCEI (the Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane) was trying to say is that these protesters are HAMAS sympathizers, not GAZA sympathizers! That the organizations founded to end the Israeli State, which stem from the countries surrounding Israel, are, like Hamas, against the existence of the State of Israel. Their united goal is to hurt Israel by the spread of Palestinian sympathy!

The truth is, though, that one must make a DISTINCTION between the Palestinian civilians and the Hamas militants! Israel is NOT trying to kill all the Palestinians, but as the article states, Hamas militants will USE the Palestinian civilians, who may muddy the waters with Hamas support, as HUMAN SHIELDS! Israel's goal has been to ERADICATE HAMAS and SPARE PALESTINIANS! The problem with this, however, is that even WITHIN Gaza, there is also propaganda being spread by Hamas. Some of THEM are pro-Hamas while others are innocent bystanders. Some are innocent human shields, while others are DUPED human shields!

Those who learned from Hitler's Germany during WWII, could have told us this fact from the "Hitlerjugend," the German Youth who had bought into the Nazi propaganda during that period. Many of them became the "Brownshirts," as one might remember in the musical "The Sound of Music."

"The Brownshirts, also known as the Sturmabteilung (SA), were a paramilitary organization under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. They were known for their brown uniforms, hence the nickname. The SA played a significant role in the Nazi Party's rise to power, particularly through intimidation and violence against political opponents and Jews." - Google AI

Hamas leaders are students of that history, and they raise violent protests in every country in which they have a presence, including Italy and here in the USA!

So, all those who are "the majority of humanity [who] believes that we are actually witnessing a genocide taking place before our very eyes," must also be taught this DISTINCTION between the Palestinian civilians and the Hamas militants, and the correlation between this and the rise of Nazi Germany.

Farouk, May I ask you how familiar you are with National Socialism?

Historical records are historical records. There is not one teeny tiny hint in the National Socialist plan for Germany of punishing or violating the civil rights of any race living in Germany. I'm only addressing the historical facts. You can have the opinion that Germans were hateful of the Jews. Germany had the largest Jewish population at that time, and they were disproportionately involved in every area of government, media, finance and entertainment. So you can't say that they were held down by any means.

The problem was the Communist Jews, Poles, Germans, Gypsies, and any other race of people that sought the continual destruction of Germany after the  Bolshevik revolution. The German people had the highest unemployment rate during that time in the world. At least 6 million were out of work. It cost an astronomical amount for a loaf of bread. There was starvation. In the meanwhile, there were the "elites" who when dining outside would tease the hungry children and literally throw their leftovers s to the dogs.

Then there was the Weimar Republic which wasl  labeled the "Sodom and Gomorrah" of Europe. Germans were put in "humiliating" situations in order to have food. Germany became a moral cesspool after World war I. The Germans did not have control of their own government, and that's an absolute fact.

And mind you, I'm only telling you history. You could find all of this information if you wish.

In 1933 when Hitler became Chancellor, We read internationally that " Judah declares war on Germany". Why? Did World jewry come to the conclusion that they were going to be wiped out in Europe, or did they realize they will no longer have control of Germany? Why were COMMUNISTS so afraid of Hitler? Remember, this was 9 years before Aushowitz, and I am in no way implying that those events did not occur. I'm just relating to you the scene in Germany before the war.

You do know that Hitler created his own currency backed by the labor of the German people, right? That meant immediate control of their own money, no longer through the world bank.

So what was the actual intent of National socialism? And why did 95% of the German people want it? Something was going terribly wrong in their country.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
