Thanks everyone for your wonderful advice...I don't want to seem to harsh to quick with her. I got a progress report from school and she brought her math, reading and english grades all up to D's. She acted like she was ashamed but I told how proud she made me feel. I told her we will take this a step at a time and it will get better.. I love her so much and its breaks my heart when I know it makes her feel like she is stupid. I also found her tearing up all her Harry Potter books today after I sat her down and softly told her how they make me feel worried about what shes filling her mind with. I read bits and pieces of the books to her. I think the part that really got to her was the scary way to her that they were celebrating Christmas in a part of the book. The next thing I know we are outside in the cold praying together to God and then she wanted to burn the books so no one else could read them. I know God is giving me the strength to stand my ground when it comes to my child. With all the things that are happening in the world today I feel a urgent rush to lead her and others to Christ. This is the first year we are totaling celebrating Christmas with the true reason for the season. The finest gift we could ever get was the gift of Jesus Christ. I tell everyone I come in contact with Merry Christmas while proudly wearing my Got Jesus shirt. I get strange looks but oh well. No more Santas in my yard I searched all month and finally found a affordable Nativity Scene at Walmart..Theres going to be a Nativity Scene in my yard as soon as I can afford it....Once again thank you for your kind advice and warm welcome...What a great group of people here God Bless you and Merry Christmas.........

Amen. Your daughter desires to rid herself of her Harry Potter books; that is a sure sign that Jesus is moving in your daughter. To some people, Harry Potter books seem innocent but it is embedding ideas of witchcraft in the childrens' mind. This is an easy way for demons and evil spirits to have dominion over them. Witchcraft is not harmless, even if people do it for mere fun.

Getting strange looks from people for wearing your "Got Jesus" shirt is a very good sign too. People are ashamed of Jesus's name. People can say any other name but Jesus without shame...even for some Christians. But those who will follow Christ to the very end are those who will not deny His name; those who will proudly bear the Name of our Lord. Those who deny Jesus will be denied by Him. Satan will do anything to make us ashamed of the Name Jesus. So just keep it up. The leading of the Spirit be with you always.

I am really proud of you Tonya

It is really hard when you are trying to do one thing with your children and then your husband is trying to pull the other way.

Listen though, the Lord is with you and he gives special favours to the families of people who have become Christians.

1 Cor 7:14-17

And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified by his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unlean, but as it is, they are holy.

But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing mna or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. How do you know wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how will you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.

I have just highlighted the bits that appear to contradict themselves but really dont- sanctified doesnt mean the same as "justified" or "saved" but it is a special priviledge.

What a wonderful position you have given your daughter through faith!!

Keep going with the good work- God Bless you.

Jenni

Thanks to everyone who has given me wonderful advice and encouragement and prayers. Things are really going well with my child. Staying in tune with what she watches on tv and the music she listens to has already started to make a difference. The other day when I was taking her to school she asked me to pray with her before she went into school. Its so sad to think they will let Santa come to school but they lock the doors on Jesus. I feel blessed to have been able to come into this forum. Again thanks for your kind words and your prayers. God bless you all and have a very Merry Christmas.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
