My life was going in one downward spiral when I found Jesus, or more when He found me.

Thing was, everything on the surface of my life was rosy, had quite a perfect existence from a purely worldly and secular point of view, but spiritually I was nowhere, and going nowhere fast.

To cut a long story short, I knew all along what I was missing but wasnt brave enough to face Him in my shame, then I set about reading and learning and overcoming all the misconceptions about Him, and then I had my first real prayer begging forgiveness and was saved.

Since then, He has intervened and worked in my life in a lot of ways. Providence has brough mt opportunitites and people into my life which I had never envisaged happening, and has taught me the power of prayer and living a holy life.

Hal - le - lu - jah, Jesus is alive

death has lost it's victory, and the grave has been denied

Jesus lives forever, He's ali - ve! He's ali - ve!

He's the Alpha and Omega, the first and last is He

the curse of death is broken, we have perfect liberty

Jesus Reigns forever, He's ali - ve! He's ali - ve!

He's ali - ve! He's ali - ve! Ha Ha ... God is good !!!

I believe the above says it all...'He has turned my morning into dancing; my sorrow into joy' 'God is so good' 'He saved me' He has 'taken me from the miry clay, set my feet upon the Rock'

When i think about what God has done for me all i can do is sing, sing, sing...Hmmm what has God done in my life???

Well:

  • He has replaced my earthly family who had cast me out and given me a loving heavenly family who loves me !!!
  • He has picked my life up from the streets where i was a vagabond, and made me a king and a priest unto Him !!!
  • He has given me back everything that the devil had stolen from my life, and gave me even more...ten fold !!!
  • He has broken the curses off my life; generational, hereditary and those induced from my past life in the occult !!!
  • He has turned me from my past criminal ways and has imparted the spirit of righteousness within my heart !!!
  • He has taken from me all the hate i had for myself and everyone else and turned it into the Agape love of God !!!
  • He has given me a wonderful wife and beautiful kids, when i was lonely and had no-one to love or love me in return !!!
  • He has put a song in my heart and a voice to sing that springs forth from my spirit in reverent worship unto Him !!!
  • He has blessed me with all the needs of my day to day living and always supplied more than enough for us !!!
  • He has given me a hope and a future, a vision for my life and the provision to fulfill all my hearts desires !!!
  • but most of all...He has saved me from the eternal damnation of hellfire, an eternity spent without Him...and He has given me the gift of eternal life in heaven with Him !!!

These are some things God has revealed to me.

1)I am learning what it means to bear the cross. To deny ourselves that Christ may increase and we decrease (john 3:30). Christ desires to graft his life into ours(john 15). Our fallen nature I should reckon dead and that I now live the resurrected life in my new man. That Christ may be magnified, expressed, and manifested in my body.

2)God is gaining more of us little by little, pruning and burning the dross in our life that we may be perfected in His sight.

Once God showed me great things and miracles....but after some time I no longer saw them anymore. Though I still see God moving and doing miracles...they were not as powerful. I also do not experience as much of the living water as I did before. However, I finally realized the problem. I was staying in my comfortable area. That is why I did not experience as much life and power as I once did.

God is trying to gain us little by little. Once God showed me powerful works and He did things for me. Now it is my turn to show God something and for me to do something for Him. I no longer need to witness great miracles and works of power. The only thing I need to live by is faith. God is still taking care of me in great ways. However, I need to see where God is leading me and be subjected to this leading. I cannot stay where I am comfortable. I need to follow the Lord's leading, even when it inconveniences me or even if it will lead me to death. Therefore, Apostle Paul said "whether through life or death Christ may be magnified. " For the sons of God are those who are lead by the Spirit (romans 8:14).

Since we are lead by the Spirit, I need to be in my inner man always. Many times I fail and I am in my natural self with my fallen nature. In this fallen nature I sin. But in the inner man or in my spirit, I know that I will not sin. This is my struggle. I am trying to exericise my spirit, to be lead by the Spirit, and to be in my spirit. As my spirit grows, it moves out into the parts of my soul. It changes my mind, emotions and will transforming me into the likeness of Christ. God is trying to achieve in us perfection to the uttermost.

3)True power in the body of believers

The body of Christ, the Church (group of believers), is more powerful than we think. Each member in the Church needs to be functioning. "I will stand firm if You stand firm." Christ cannot be expressed in individuals alone but he needs a group of people, a body. The Church is greatly feared among Satan and his kingdom. Therefore Satan always tries to divide us and cause strife and dissention among us. The only way to conquer this is to love our brothers and sisters. This is what truly builds up....not eloquent speaking, skills in cooking, prophecy, evangelism, music, or any other gift. You cannot make it on your own...you need to be in the body with fellow brothers and sisters. This is a reality, even if you think you are more spiritually mature than everyone else. Even the pastor of the church needs you.

4)Prayer

Prayer is more powerful than our abilities. Before we try to save someone with our words, prayer should precede us. Before we study for a test we should pray for the Spirit to gives us a sobermind. We accomplish more through prayer than in our abilities alone.

Prayer is a way to fight and serve. When you pray for others, you too will be blessed. You prayer alone is powerful enough to change the world. Your prayers will turn out to the salvation of others and yourself through whatever situation others or you are in.

*I can use your prayers right now. Thanks.

5)Loving the Lord

We should love the Lord with all our strength. One way to show this is to get up early in the morning and read the word and spend some time in prayer. If you do this your day will be a lot better.

6)Insulation and hinderances to God

Sin can insulate you from the presence and fellowship of God. Sins need to be confessed and washed by the blood of Christ.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

WOW! I enjoyed your words of wisdom. Especially about the Body, prayer and loving God.

I'm praying for you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
