Dear Brothers and sisters in the Lord,

After going through the thread on Our Debt to Israel, there's some questions about the Temple of Ezekiel 40-48 so I thought I would start a thread on this particular subject. This is going to be a long thread -- remember it is line upon line and precept upon precept. I cannot possibly go through and explain everything all at once -- but I will attempt to go through scripture to explain this portion of Scripture which confounds believers.

Another reason I will go through this portion of scripture is because in Israel -- the anti-missionary groups use this portion of scripture to confuse believers. So you must become acutely aware of these scriptures.

Where to begin -- hmmm.

First of all, you have to remember when Christ returns it will not be a return to the Mosaic covenant -- or to the laws of Moses, so the sacrifical ordinances of the Torah do not apply in this age.

Let me explain it this way -- the first covenant given was the Adamic covenant -- do not eat of the tree of Good and evil. The next covenant was the Noahic covenant -- God will not destroy the world again by water and the rainbow was a promise of this. Then the Mosaic covenant -- the laws of Moses. Until the time of Christ -- where the law of Christ exists today.

To explain it in layman's terms -- If you are a citizen of Maryland -- then when you drive in Maryland you are following the driving regulations of Maryland. But if you drive in Delaware, you are not following the driving regulations of Maryland anymore, but the driving ordinances of Delaware. But these driving laws are often similar if not the same. When Christ came, he went and taught the laws of Moses again -- but applied a deeper meaning to those laws. For example, Thou shalt not commit adultery -- then Christ said -- if you even look at a woman lustfully -- then you have committed adultury in your heart! The law of Moses was given it's heart meaning and not just an outward expression of the law.

Keep this in mind as we go through these portions of scriptures.

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

Now understanding the Temple, you must be keenly aware of this portion,

Ezekiel 43:11-12 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

You cannot reconcile this time under the Mosaic covenant as many Orthodox Jews attempt -- it is a NEW COVENANT -- a new set of ordinaces!

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

What of the articles inside the Temple?

The ark of the covenant? Will it be in the New Temple?

Jeremiah 3:16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

What will replace the Ark of the Covenant?

Ezekiel 43:4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.

When I get a chance remind me to explain the Kedem? Kedem is East in Hebrew.

Ezekiel 43:7

The Menorah is not in the New Temple -- the Candlestick or the Lampstand of the Mosaic covenant is not mentioned! Why?

Because Jesus (Yeshua) is sitting on His throne and Jesus is the Light of the World!

The Table of Shewbread is not mentioned in the Temple of Ezekiel. Why?

Because Messiah is sitting on His throne and He is the BREAD of LIFE!

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

There is no veil -- no Holy of Holies listed in the New Temple! Why?

Because Christ broke down the veil and now we have access to the Holy of Holies!

Luke 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Do you realize the significance of this! You have access to the Holy of Holies!

George

We sort of agree on this, but the Noahic Covenant remains in existence to today. In fact so does the Mosaic Law, in that it is used to convict the sinner and reveal the Glory and Righteousness of God. And you still have not addressed:

Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Greetings George,

You cannot reconcile this time under the Mosaic covenant as many Orthodox Jews attempt -- it is a NEW COVENANT -- a new set of ordinaces!

The terms "according to pattern" always come to mind about the Lord's Tabernacle and the Temple:

Exodus 25:9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

You might compare the OT Temple with the Early Church, as it was only a SHADOW OF HEAVENLY THINGS yet to come.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Greetings George,

The THRONE of Messiah will replace the Ark of the Covenant! There is no ark of the covenant in the Temple of Ezekiel 40-48.

We must not forget:

Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Greetings George,

The Menorah is not in the New Temple -- the Candlestick or the Lampstand of the Mosaic covenant is not mentioned! Why?

Because Jesus (Yeshua) is sitting on His throne and Jesus is the Light of the World!

How do you see the following verses fitting in?

Revelation 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
