Anyhow..I had not read the posts but now I have and did not see anything like what you are saying..

What you have to understand is that some people cannot give any sympathy to this man because of the crime he committed. I feel sorry for hima nd for his family but it isn't about him, it is about the girl who he raped! I have a very hard time giving forgiveness or "love" to people who do these things. To me, he is a monster and if you go and read my post on that thread, I did state more that I don't wish to repeat. It is a very sensitive subject to alot of people.

Please try to factor this in. The Lord has had me dealing with the demonic and, it appears, reality just too hard to bear for many(?)/most(?). The actual cause of horrors like raping babies and worse MAY NOT BE human . And surely not that I KNOW the cause of specifics or even general classes of evil-The Lord Jesus Christ is the Judge.

Remember also in The Holy Bible of how The Lord dealt with Legion-He suffered them to go into the herd of pigs.

I agree this should've been kept in the original thread...or at the very least in another forum besides Fellowship Hall. However....

..just because people call for punishment does not mean there is no sympathy for a person's soul. You can forgive someone, pray for them, and have sympathy for them...all while holding them accountable for their actions. Real love allows someone to be held responsible for their actions in order to teach them consequences. Having sympathy for someone doesn't mean letting them get away with causing harm to other people.

Amen! Amen! Well stated! Exactly! One of the biggest problems in America today is the lack of accountability! Regardless of pitying him, or hoping he finds Christ, he still needs to be held accountable for what he did.
