And notice God's response? harsher and harsher chastisements and judgements by allowing terrorists to pull off the most successful sneak attack in history, and by allowing 7 category 5 hurricanes to form in a matter of 4 years, 3 in the same year.

Again I ask, as in your other post, are these judgments from G-d? Are we not living in the Age of Grace? This is not to say that man is "getting away with it," for it is certain judgment is forthcoming, but is it now? Your assertion that 9/11 was the most successful sneak attack in history is incorrect. There have been many sneak attacks, one thinks of the Tojan Horse in ancient history. More recently, there was the sneak attach that happened at Pearl Harbour, which precipitated our entrance into World War 2. As far as big hurricanes are concerned, there have been hurricanes since time began. One could argue that if you build your house below sea level in a known hurricane area, you are asking for trouble.

We have seen entire cities wiped out by disasters across the world in the past 3 years, the media always uses the term, "disaster of Biblical proportions", and yet so few consider that most disasters in the Bible were sent by the Wrath of God against sinful people.

Just beause the media says it, is it true? I agree G-d whiped out entire civivilations in the Bible, but this happened in the OT, which was not under the dispensation of grace as we are.

If you mention such a thing, you get the "Oh, a God of love would never do such a thing"..."Don't you know? God would neeeeeeeeeeeever kill 100,000 people with a tsunami, just because they were in sin..."

You are correct, many Christians forget the other side of G-d, a G-d of jealous anger and judgment. But He is also a G-d of long suffering patience, and is permitting this age of grace for the gospel to be preached and for souls to be saved. Again I put the question to you, are the people in Louisiana or India more sinful that the people in Ohio or New England? Why not send a judgment or two to those places?

But this is no new lie. As Solomon said, "There is no new thing under the sun. That which has been is that which shall be..."

Ezekiel 9:9

Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.

The verse you quote has nothing to do with America or the Church. Why reference it?

Man is still telling himself the same old lie, "God doesn't see..."

When you pummell me with your response, please don't misquote me. G-d does NOT tolerate sin. However, living in an age of grace as we are, His wrath is being stored up for now, but there will come a time when His wrath is poured out on the earth and man will face not only that, but also a final judgment. The sinner gets away with nothing.

While all of this might be, we need to be very careful about pronouncing natural disasters as the judgement od God.

Right on!

Remember the book of Job? Unless you can come out and say "Thus sayeth the Lord! (Fill in the blank) happend because of (

On the other hand, God disciplines those whom he loves. If he is doing these things to chasten us, we can rejoice in the fact that we are still his. For if we are truly a nation of unbelievers, he would not punish us, only allow us to go aur way and turn us over to our own degrading passions. "Romans 1:18-36"

Great and reasoned post!

IS comming? I think it is already here. In spite of having elected a President who prefesses to be Christian, our slouch towards Gomorra continues unabated.

Professes to be a Christian? Are you judging his faith? And please don't tell me your blaming him for the moral collapas of mankind.

WhySoBlind has made no mistake in His assessment. He uses figures of speech and artistic reference where a statement about one people applies to another people because God is no respecter of persons. As with Judah, so also with America.

Grace applies only to the BABeliever. All others are under the written law and therefore under wrath, where sudden judgement is par for the course.

Butero: really good post. I agree totally.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
