Krishna & Jesus

Jesus and Krishna were called both a God and the Son of God.

Both was sent from heaven to earth in the form of a man.

Both were called Savior, and the second person of the Trinity.

His adoptive human father was a carpenter.

A spirit or ghost was their actual father.

Krishna and Jesus were of royal descent.

Both were visited at birth by wise men and shepherds, guided by a star.

Angels in both cases issued a warning that the local dictator planned to kill the baby and had issued a decree for his assassination. The parents fled. Mary and Joseph stayed in Muturea; Krishna's parents stayed in Mathura.

Both Jesus and Krishna withdrew to the wilderness as adults, and fasted.

Both were identified as "the seed of the woman bruising the serpent's head."

Jesus was called "the lion of the tribe of Judah." Krishna was called "the lion of the tribe of Saki."

Both claimed: "I am the Resurrection."

Both referred to themselves having existed before their birth on earth.

Both were "without sin."

Both were god-men: being considered both human and divine.

They were both considered omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

Both performed many miracles, including the healing of disease. One of the first miracles that both performed was to make a leper whole. Each cured "all manner of diseases."

Both cast out indwelling demons, and raised the dead.

Both selected disciples to spread his teachings.

Both were meek, and merciful. Both were criticized for associating with sinners.

Both encountered a Gentile woman at a well.

Both celebrated a last supper. Both forgave his enemies.

Both descended into Hell, and were resurrected. Many people witnessed their ascensions into heaven.

There is a key difference. Jesus did not claim to be "a God". He claimed to be the only God, and He claimed to be the only one who has ever seen God. He also claimed that He was the only way to God. Jesus' Father was not a Ghost. It was the God of the universe. The only God.

Actually Jesus never called himself God.

He also claimed that He was the only way to God. Jesus' Father was not a Ghost. It was the God of the universe. The only God.

Jesus' father was a ghost. The holy ghost.

Since the trinity is one, Jesus is therefore both God the father and God the spirit's son.

Jesus said He was God many times. If you read the gospels carefully, you will see that He made that claim repeatedly. It is why He was brought before Pontius Pilate by the Pharisees. They knew He claimed to be God.

He was brought before Pontius Pilate for blasphemy yes, but for saying he was the Son of God.

Also, he was in a lot of trouble with the Pharisees for anything they could think of, such as working on the Sabbath.

Can anyone please explain to me why there are so many similarities?

Grace to you,

There are huge distinct differences between krishna and Jesus.

First off practitioners of krishna do not believe in the Holy Spirit. There is a huge difference between the spirts that could be called ghosts and the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus taught that God, Himself, was Holy and that his followers were to be Holy as well. krishna teaches that he can do whatever he likes with a list of sins including intoxication, adultery, etc... and his adherents may not. krishna freely practices anything that gives himself pleasure. Thereby serving himself. Jesus came to Serve others. This was a paramount teaching of His.

krishna teaches devotion to idols, worshipping images, chanting repeatedly. A kind of outward shallow appeal at righteousness.

However Jesus Christ followed the Law as written on the heart. He told His followers to give in secret. To pray in the closet and not for outward appearence. Knowing that their Father would hear and answer them in His Holy name. He actually openly shamed those who practiced such outward selfish acts of Rigtheousness and rather preferred to point towards children as a model of innocence. Children are not trying to gain anything when they give a hug. They simply do it out of Love. Children also lend feely. Unless they have been taught otherwise.

Jesus taught that men are appointed once to die and then the Judgment.

krishna states that men will relive their lives in reincarnation until they achieve karma. In essence paying for their sins over and over again.

Jesus Christ paid for the sins of men and freely extends Grace. There is no work accomplished or acceptable in the sight of God save Jesus Christs sacrifice for mans sin.

krishna advocates a vegetarian diet.

Jesus Christ said that it was not so much that which went into a mans mouth that caused him to be defiled as what comes out. Since it comes directly from the heart.

krishna is a Religion based upon man achieving his own Salvation. Wich is impossible because man is desperately wicked and anything he has to offer is filthy rags in the sight of a Holy God. Christianity in it's purest form is a Faith in Gods Word and nothing else.

Isaiah the Prophet said, "Woe is me, I'm undone. I'm a man of unclean lips from a people of unclean lips!"(Every bone in his body was out of joint) at the sight of the Most Holy God.

No one including krishna has seen God and Lived. Yet those who have seen Christ have seen God the Father. Jesus Christ was with Him in the beginning. He is the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. Not just one in a pantheon of supposed gods. The One and only God. The Living Lord God of all Creation. Neither a ghost or a supposed spirit which is really just part of the Creation masquerading as a ghost. His is the Most Holy Spirit and as such must be worshipped in such. :17: Jesus was not an incarnation of God, but God Himself in the flesh. krishna is nothing more than an incarnation of god. Jesus is God, part of the existing and eternal Godhead. Not an incarnation, but God Himself. Equal with the Father.

Which is indeed what He was charged with, blasphemy. :20:

Now, Has God Truly said?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
