Agreeing with Bush does not make us idolaters following a false messiah.

Your statement was totally over board.

NOBODY worships Bush or thinks he is Christ.

Actions speak louder than words. When people continue to stick up for his blatant mistakes, they show so much loyalty it's disgusting.

That is your opinion.

A high minded opinion, but still an opinion.

Do you practice humility and humbleness?

There is no opinion involved here, it is fact. People often hold mutually exclusive views in the world. On one hand, they'll support Israel tooth and nail....but support the president when he advocates taking land from them. They hate the war on terror, say that Islam is violent and we shouldn't trust Muslims....until the president wants them to take over our ports. They could care less how we look to the world if it's for our own protection....until Bush says this port deal makes us look good in the eyes of the world...then it's okay. The thing is, they hold mutually exclusive positions. This means that they support the president over their own conviction, which is a form of worship. It's supporting him to the point that you allow him to dictate what is right and wrong for you. It's supporting him to the point where you alienate your brain from the process of politics. It's not an opinion, it's a fact backed by the observation these people are contradicting themselves. Democrats do it too with people in their own party where they object to something until their favourite politician says the opposite...then all of a sudden it's okay.

With reagrd to Dubai and the terrorists, half of the 9/11 terrorists came from Virginia. So what do we do there? Stop doing business with the Commonwealth of VA? These guys also had bank accounts in VA. Does that make VA untrustworthy?

Dubai is NOT anti Israel. The will not acknowdedge the government of Israel until Israel acknowledges Palestine's right to exist.

This is NOT a Democrat bashing thread; its not my fault they are wrong most of the time.

And...it could be Hillary's fault...

This thread is nothing more than Democrat bashing, I'm suprized Marnie didn't claim it's all Hillary's fault.

Look, the money-men in Washington hustled this deal through and tried to keep it under the radar and once again this administration made bad choices. It's happening so frequently now that comedians can't keep up.

This deal was first reported by the Wall Street Journal in October '05. Thats hardly "rushing it through." It wasn't until the Dems got worried about their union allies that they raised the issue. The media did their usual bad reporting and fear took over common sense.

The President came out swinging without any information, threatening to use his first veto on a subject he should have known would raise public interest so he lied (well, it's either a lie to us or he was lied to by his admin, either way it doesn't make him look like he's "in the know") when he said it had gone through a thorough vetting process and it hadn't.

There is a Congressional Oversight Committee that exists for that very reason: so the president doesn't have to micro manage every international business deal. Reagan signed it into law back in the '80's and Clinto expanded it's powers in the early '90's. Point is, Bush didn't have to know. The Committee was doing its job.

Bush is more concerned with keeping his Arab family friends happy than protecting our country. Democrats knew this all along which is why we've been scoffing at his fear tactics since 9/11.

Our country is LESS secure than it was before 9/11 because of Iraq.

And you have been attacked exactly how many times? Every military strategist will tell you it is better to confront the enemy on their soil than on ours.

We can't use force in Iran, #1 because our military is overwhelmed in Iraq, #2 even if wanted to put boots on the ground in Iran recruitment is too low (because of Iraq), #3 the Iranians have an active insight into how to foil a ground war by watching (and supporting) the insurgency and #4 we can't simply bomb them because it would give rise to an ENTIRE country of terrorists and incite the worlds muslims to acts of violence against the USA and our allies.

And why are you a citizen of this country?? First of all, our military is NOT overwhelmed. Secondly, how do you know our "boots" are not on the ground in Iran? I happen to know otherwise. Recruitment is NOT too low. That is another bad example of biased media reporting. Iran happens to like Americans, their government does not. There is a difference, you know. Muslim extremists are already incited against us, are you kidding?

The ports deal IS all politics, it's another example of bad politics by this administration.

Wrong again. The Ports deal is all business, not politics. The Democrats--with no issue to run on in the fall (mid term elections)--have made it a political issue. Dubai World Ports is a business. It is not a government entity nor a religious one. You won't find anybody on the WB more leary of Muslims or Arabs than I. But even I, when I did a little research, concluded this deal is harmless. What has made you all so fearful? Google the deal and get the facts.

That is Anti-Israel. They don't acknowledge the Israeli government for goodness' sakes!

Does everyone see what I mean now? Marnie is an Israeli supporter, I have no doubt in that. Yet here she is saying, "No, they just don't recognize Israel because Israel doesn't recognize Palestine's right." Once again, Bush goes before Beliefs.

So let's see. You are saying that because the government of a nation believes one thing, citizens of the same nation have to believe it? So you believe every position the Federal government takes on every issue? Just because the gov't of Dubai has issues with Israel does not mean you have to punish businesses of that country.

It might surprise you to know, furthermore, that I think it is high time we lifted the Cuban embargo, too. Yes, I am patriotic and I like GWB, but that in no way means I agree every position his gov't takes. Business is what it is.

But I do thank you for getting my name right. You'd be surprised how many people think I am a Marine. Oy.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
