But on the same note to our veteran members, lets remember even though it seems we've discussed a certain topic a million times, there are constantly new members joining worthy and they have no way of knowing this.

shanbopop, please stay. There will always be people who make fun and mock others. I used to get my feelings hurt, but I finally learned they were just a fact of life. I either had to ignore them or learn to deal with them in some way. But, there are many, many very nice people here. Don't let a few bad eggs (and I have no idea who they are since I am just now reading this) spoil the batch, ok? Sometimes people just get cranky.

As others have said, there is no way of knowing, the bible says so.

But I do know from reading the bible the time IS near like those others said. It is near, and its closer than it has ever been. All signs are pointing straight to Jesus in the sky. GLORY BE TO GOD ON HIGH!!! AMEN for that my friends!!!

Since there are no signs prior to the rapture, I guess it can happen at any time. The "signs" of Matt. 24 and 25 are signs pointing to the second advent, in answer to the question asked by the disciples at the beginning of chapter 24 concerning the coming of the Messiah, not the rapture. The rapture is the "blessed hope" of the Church (Titus 2:13), indicating a worthiness to escape the coming persecution.

The reason no one knows the hour nor the day except the Father, is that the day is not a set appointed date, it is a day of characteristic. Just like when Jesus came, the characteristics of the day were exact to fulfilling His coming. Even so, the days which we are refering to as the end times are (and have been for some time) been ascribing to the characteristics which are desrcirbed in the prophecies.

To give you a direct answer to your question, I would say we could expect to see another 20 years before the "antichrist", "the son of perdition" is revealed. I, for one, am watching, not for the antichrist, but rather, for those who are already antichrist, to see who they are drawn to.

Everybody has their opinion of how the prophecies are interpreted. Most of everyone agrees with the main stream interpretation; that of there being a one world religion. However, I do not. There is nothing in prophecy that, as far as I can see, describes a one world religion. The mainstream belief is based on there being a "false prophet", and the belief that "the antichrist" will stand in the Holy Place proclaiming himself to be god. This does not necessarily indicate "religion". John said in Revelation, "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." If you read everything about the "false prophet", you will not find anything specific that has been prophecied by this "false prophet". It is "assumed" that the "false prophet" is prophecying about the anitchrist, but I have a different understanding; which I can't go into right now since I am at work and it would take too much time to go into right now.

As I understand it, there has to be a seven year (false) peace agreement made, then you could count the days before Jesus comes back with His bride(the church).

I believe the time didn't start until after the 6 day war in 1967,when the Jewish people regained control of the temple mount. From1948-67 they didn't have control of the praying wall.

As I understand it Russia is suppose to come down on Jerusalem, but God will divinely destroy them and their weapons will burn and the smoke will rise for 7yrs. Because of the close time line,7yrs, we may well see this happen.

Now, I was really looking when we were going into Iraq because Russia (before Vladimar) had made an agreement to defend Iraq, for oil in the past,but as we know it didn't happen.

But now with what's going on with Iran, and their nuke program and the statements coming from all parties Israel,Russia,and Iran....I couldn't see Arafat and Sharon making a peace agreement, because they were arch enemies...But now every thing has changed....

I do not claim to know when, but we should be able to see some of the signs. Anyone can look at the red sky and say it's gonna be hot tomarrow....

And as far as making a peace agreement,Do you know any group/religion that is more Anti-Christ than Hamas??
