Hi guys,

The above site has the details. There is a large boycott of Ford Motor Company in response to their large pro-homosexual stance. Many Christian organizations are involved in the boycott. Note that Ford also owns Mazda, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Jaguar, etc. Please consider the boycott and please consider forwarding to others. Thank you for you consideration. God bless you all.

"Modern day values...." What a load of politically correct, socially engineered, "newspeak".

We all have to be careful that we don't take this "modern thinking" onboard.

I have another reason to be wary of Ford though. I might be being really unfair and it might be very widespread and not just limited to the Ford company, but not having had much to do with new cars, I don't know. This might also be widespread in America, or in Europe, I don't know that either.

Recently I went with a friend to look at a new Ford truck that she was going to buy. While she was cooing over the truck, I had a look at the car handbook that came with the sale. It was just pretty basic stuff and the usual "how to" (use features) until I got to the part about the "event data recorder". It stated that "in any situation" your driving habits (brake pressure, speed, whether/not there was seat belt use etc.) would be recorded by the onboard computer and made available to the company "for research purposes" and also "to law enforcement officers". I may be being really behind the times, but I was horrified at this and thought "what? A vehicle that narks on you?".

I will quote you what the actual car manual said, as I managed to get hold of it online:

"Event data recorder". The computer in your vehicle is capable of recording detailed data, potentially including, but not limited to, information such as: The use of restraint systems by the driver and passengers. Or, information about the performance of various systems and modules in the vehicle, and information relating to engine, throttle, steering, brake or other system status potentially including information about how the driver operates the vehicle including, but not limited to, vehicle speed. The information may be stored during regular operation or in a crash or near crash event. This stored information may be read out and used by; Ford motor company, service and repair facilities, law enforcement or government agencies".

When I pointed that out to my friend, she decided to buy another vehicle that didn't have that feature, instead. Although the original truck would really have suited her needs.

I have since read that "most vehicles that have come out since 2000 have "event data recorders". Maybe they are just one more thing to be wary of in the modern world. I'm just not quite ready to embrace this thinking and I think we should all resist it. "Safety" has been proffered as the excuse for this, but I think we can get too carried away with the word "safety" which has become a buzzword for everything.

And "talking of politically correct speak", has anyone noticed that the word "accident" is never used anymore when talking about motor vehicles. This word has been replaced by "crash" which sounds all that much more emotive and convinces us that there is always someone to blame.

I have never liked Ford but I am in love with Jags. My fantasy car that I will one day own. Just another reason not to like Ford.

This technology has been around in use with UPS or DHL, maybe both, since 1997, to help their drivers be better drivers, and in the event of an accident it would act like a "black box" to determine who is at fault. However, I can see how such technology can be used for devious purposes on the part of the government. I for one dont like a car that "talks" to me, and I usually disconnect all the bells and buzzers when I get it home. I made sure my Mini had NO GPS or the like.

As far as boycotting Ford (or Microsoft, or Johnson and Johnson, etc.), I just can't get worked up about it. I am sure if we look hard enough, we'll find Dodge and BMW engaged in questionable practices too. I guess we could all ride bikes or horses and use pencils and paper. How far do we go here, anyway?

Why is it always over companies that endorse something homosexual? Why not for greater crimes?

What about companies that nearly enslave third world people, paying them cents a day to make our $150 shoes? (made in malasia, china, thialand.....).

What about shipping and distributing companies, publishers and book sellers? They move and sell holy books for other religions. Surely getting the quran, the watchtower, the book of the mormons, books on buddism ect to people is a FAR FAR greater crime than anything gay. This is turning people from God pure and simple. Yet why don't people care much about that?

I've always been a Ford guy, but now I'm not too sure.

This is very sad.

btw, another supporter of the gay community is Wells Fargo.

Like another poster eluded to above there are probally many companys we dont know about that do and support immoral things. I understand boycotts can work some times, but am I going to base buying a new vehicle on what the company supports ? When i go to buy a car its to buy safe reliable transportation. What if all the car makers were supportive of homosexual issues? What would we do then ? If the boycott works it will be a great victory but big companys are very hard to slow down. They basically do what they want.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
