Most High,

I am going to respond to a few things you have said in this thread.

First, that scripture about render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars has nothing to do with separation of church and state. The first time I heard that rediculous ascertion was from that comedian Genene Gerafalo. That's a real Bible scholar I am sure? :noidea: What was going on when Jesus made that statement was the religious leaders were trying to catch him saying something that would allow them to accuse him to the Roman government. They asked him if it was lawful to pay taxes. The people opposed the taxes, but the law required they pay them anyway. Jesus asked for a penny. After examining it, he asked whose picture was on it? They said, Caesars. He then said, "Render unto Caesar the things that belong to Caesar, and unto God the things that belong to God." This has absolutely nothing to do with the notion of the church staying out of politics. On the contrary. I would say that since we are the salt of the earth, we are to do whatever is in our power to preserve our nation's morals. That would mean being very much involved in politics, electing pro-life candidates.

As for Iran, we most certainly can defeat them. All we have to do is drop a couple of nukes on them, and end of war. I would suggest dropping nukes on the sites they claim will be future nuclear power plants. Since North Korea continues making threats, I would do the same thing to them. I would drop nukes on their military bases. Forget about diplomacy. That doesn't work. We need to take them out before they are able to carry out their threats. The reason we are having so much trouble today is because of our policy of keeping collateral damage at a minimum. While that is fine for Afganistan and Iraq, we don't have the military personel to fight this type of war all over the world. We have a large nuclear arsenal. In my opinion we should use it.

What you said about Bush is what I have said about Clinton. God allowed us to put him in office to show the problems of voting for someone because of greed. You remember all those statements about "the economy stupid." We ignored all the warning signs we had about him and yet still elected him to office. Maybe people had gotten so fed up with his evil reign of 8 years, that is why they decided not to make his Vice President his successor in 2000? :whistling:

Why would anyone have the right to nuke anybody? The only thing keeping the world from being obliterated is the fact that nobody wants to take responsibility for starting the ball rolling.

kaboom.

I don't know Ted, did you ever stop to think that everyone else bailed on us because we were wrong?

Yes, I've stopped to think about the possibility that he was wrong, but he's not.

I have to think about these things: it's my butt on the line if he is wrong. All things considered, he was right to go into Iraq. Everything about the situation may not make perfect sense to every man or woman, and things may have gone smoother if a few tweaks in the system would have happened, but he wasn't wrong to go in there.

Reports are coming out every week tying it all together.

Other countries didn't bail out because they were right, they bailed out for various reasons:

Money (Russia, China, Germany, France, the UN). These got caught with their hands in the oil for food cookie jar. It's obvious that these countries had exclusive contracts for oil and had an expressed intrest to have the sanctions lifted. Not to mention weapons sales (which never really stopped, did they?).

The UN tried to act tough with words in an attempt to keep everyone out so that their little scheme could work, but they didn't actually think that we would enforce their own resolutions. To me, that's the biggest reason why it seems that the rest of the world punked out on us.

Pure and simple, they didn't actually think we would back their own words, and votes, with action. I'm sorry, but I'm glad at least a few countries could see past the smoke and dive into the fire. Something had to be done, and it was done.

Take a minute and review just what the UN was saying and how other countries were voting concerning Iraq from 1992 to 2002. Seems like they were on board to me, so what happened?

Well, again, they just didn't believe that they would have to, someday, follow through with their own convictions. That means they were either cowards, or involved in some money making scheme.

Weakness (France). This one's self-explainatory.

Other countries like Spain and Korea started out with us, but then decided they didn't have the will to continue once their people got kidnapped and killed. So, they packed their bags and went home. I guess we can't blame them, really. The Bible talks of sending people out of a war if they are afraid.

It's quite obvious to us now that we were wrong.

Actually, I feel the opposite. It's quite obvious that we were right. Many, of course, will never want to believe that, but it's true.

Thanks,

t.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
