I posted this because I thought of you & your experience with the WOF teachers.

As far as VOG, I know without any doubt he loves the Lord Jesus with all his heart and is a dear brother. I don't quite understand the role of prophet in this day and age...so perhaps he is being very misunderstood.

Either way, I don't want to hurt a brother in Christ...and feel sad in my heart that he's been hurt. I also think it hurts God when we hurt each other.

I hope we can agree to disagree without being unkind to one another. It never feels good to be on the receiving end of harsh criticism.

My year and a half in a local small-town WOF church that was supporting Kenneth Copeland and the gang was quite the ride........

The pastor was a kind man, a family man, and had a good heart. He was a local, born and raised here and I never questioned his love for the Lord or his kind heart. BUT......he was definitiely teaching some bizarre stuff and he was going to an awful lot of leadership conventions where they taught him how to keep his sheep in line, to put to crudely, and a lot of financial stuff on how to get more money out of the sheep.

He also listened to lots of tapes that the WOF folks put out, he would listen to them driving in his car, and going to bed at night, telling us in his sermons that this is how to get the Word inside of us. He was literally brainwashing himself with WOF teachings.

There is even a popular book called "The God-Mockers" that teaches preachers how to deal with people that try to question them, these rebellious, devisive people that come into your church to make trouble. It is very cultish, and I am glad that Christians are coming out and talking openly about these things instead of all the hush-hush that protects these people.

Here's an excerpt from the God MOckers:

"Anytime you analyze something and quickly come to the conclusion that it can't be God, be careful. You are not mocking that person you're dealing with Almighty God"...."The Scriptures picture mockers as those who oppose God"...."God mockers...don't realize that they aren't just mocking a person they are mocking the living Christ in that person! That is a dangerous place to live, and an even more dangerous place to die. What do you think when people say they've been set free from bondage? Do you say, 'I wonder how long that will last?' These comments mock the power of the Blood and the cross! You might as well look up at Jesus and taunt Him with the words, 'It will never last.' God mockers scoff and hold in contempt everything they 'don't approve of'. The second mark of a God mocker is a fear of confrontation and change. They are so stuck in religious tradition that they are closed to new revelation....How anyone can come into a revival meeting in Brownsville and fail to feel Jesus is beyond me! I can't imagine it."

"Your rejection of the Spirit's work makes a mockery of the things of God. Right now across America, groups of pastors and church denominational leaders are openly mocking the move of God across the nation! If you haven't noticed, God mockers tend to hang out with other God mockers. They not only hang out with their own kind, but they will even feed on one another like spiritual carnivores. Once they find a likely body for prey, they will happily gather in circles like buzzards to eat it. These God mockers are writing 'position papers' about external physical manifestations while totally ignoring the deeper work of God that is saving hundreds of thousands of souls and permanently changing lives. They pompously declare, 'Well, that isn't God,' and sign declarations of mockery for 'distribution to the brethren' for their 'education' (the Bible calls this sowing discord), while many of their church congregations continue to dwindle year after year."

"God mockers have much to fear. God will recall every curse uttered against His revival. He will replay every blasphemy whispered...He will remember every word spoken against the weary pastors...To your shock and dismay, He will say in that day, 'You were mocking Me! We see Hill directs a number of allegations at those who oppose the movement at BAG:

We are mocking Almighty God.

We are opposing God.

We are mocking the blood and power of the Cross.

We are taunting Christ.

We fear confrontation and change.

We are stuck in religious tradition.

Those who have attended BAG and still come away with Scriptural concerns in opposition to it have failed to "feel" Jesus. (What does it mean, I wonder, to "feel Jesus"?)

We reject the Spirit's work.

We make a mockery of the things of God.

We hang out with other "God mockers" and feed on one another like spiritual carnivores.

We happily gather like a bunch of buzzards moving in for the kill.

We ignore the deeper work of God.

We sign "declarations of mockery" and disseminate them amongst the brethren, sowing strife and discord all along the way.

Our own congregations are dwindling away.

We have much to fear.

The movement at BAG is [according to Hill] God's revival and we are cursing it.

We are blasphemers.

We are disturbing and confusing the entire country.

We are "touching" the "Lord's anointed." (I want to know who said these men are the "Lord's anointed"? Moreover, the verse to which Hill alludes dealt with David's not literally killing Saul when he had the opportunity and has nothing whatsoever to do with leaders in the context in which Hill is attempting to apply it. It is simply a proof-text, and one which has been frequently used by those who "criticize the critics", obviously intended to manipulate, intimidate, instill fear of God's forthcoming wrath and retribution and coerce those who have grave Biblical concerns about the movement at BAG into silence.)

We are messing with God.

We better back off.

Zebulon must have read that book. I was accused of the same things when I confronted him sharply with his views about people "getting saved" after they die and the evils of "social nudist camps for Christians"...

I was referred to as a "Zombie for Jesus" on one post - afraid of any kind of change.

So, I believe he (and some others perhaps) read that book.

OA, did you notice the "spirit" or tone of the book's declarations? They seemed hateful and accusatory...and "us against them" mentality?

That was a great post. Gary and I could probably write a book if I knew how to spell and use grammar correctly.

We got in the WOF before it was the prosperity gospel. There was a lot said about money but they used Malachi only to get money at that time. Within the year I guess they started coming out with little quotes about prosperity. It was all so subtle when we first got into it. Copeland had not been teaching that long and we wanted all we could get of the Lord. We didn't want to miss anything if it meant a deeper walk with the Lord.

Next thing you know we are taught to use God's word like the New Agers use mantras. If you say it long enough, often enough, you believe it. But it is not Jesus' words that one is believing.

Have you seen any of the tapes that show what these people really are? I don't know whether to start a thread on it or not. I don't want to start something that will upset people but I sure want them to know the truth if they are following the WOF teachers. This will blow people away. Gary and I have the tape and it is not pretty what is being done.

What do ya'll think? Should I say something on here, start a new thread or just leave it alone? This is about the lies and deception that is really so unbelievable in the natural. It is heart wrenching and ever since we received the tape and played it all kinds of things seemed to start happening. It was like the old serpent didn't want to be exposed. We had an electrical storm, everyone knows what happened with DSS, VCRs, both computers and so many numerous things happened. I had to go to the hospital with kidney stones, Gary broke his foot, my little Pom died and things are still going on, the old devil tried to get Gary and me into strife and get us off this board, I just can't tell you all that has happened it has been so much. Do I sit back and let him get away with everything he has done or do I expose what he is doing in these WOF teachers?

Voice and I got into it because he was trying to tell me that I was judging the WOF teachers. There is no judging to it. It is all there for one to see they are preaching another gospel than the one we were first taught. If anyone preaches another gospel don't listen to them even if it is the angels of heaven. Even Satan can transform (hope this is the right word) into an angel of light. Satan knows the word and trembles. Does the Lord want these false teachers that make merchandise of men really exposed or slightly exposed? What do you say? It will not be pretty when they are totally exposed. These are exposures that no one will want to believe yet everyone should know in my humble opinion.

YUPP!! these are over used & oft quoted scriptures by the wof cult teachers--ALL of them use these scriptures to intimidate,control,& put "FEAR" into those seeking--searching-wanting MORE of JESUS honest sheep,who "TRUST" these false-prophets & that is a term i doNOT make lightly or without first-hand knowledge of as spoken of by our sister "cats" on this thread.....I know these people "intimately" as they very often called us "brother--Sister" & spoke of "LOVE" & "TRUST" them

to truly be "hearing from GOD Himself".... YES--they {the men of GOD--at one time} these pastors "WERE" sincere & honest in the beginning of their quest for a "closer more intimate"walk with GOD.. "in the beginning" the search is that of an honest,sincere,loving,& trusting" man of GOD, BUT, then, he sees or hears of all these "true" men & women of GOD who somehow are "walking in the power & abundance" of GOD. Then the quest begins in earnest, with the simple thought that "IF" these people can really be "TRUE" men & women of GOD surely it can be "PROVEN" by the scriptures & lo,& BEHOLD it certainly looks like it is true because "there IT is right in the big middle of GOD'S WORD"....SOooooo,the tv is tuned to "THEIR" station & program after program 24hours a day,men & women, pastors,evangelists,

apostles, teachers,& "PROPHETS" loudly proclaim their church,their ministry is a ministry of POWER,,ABUNDANCE,& an over-flowing land of milk & honey--a land of PLENTY, MORE-than-enough--

THEN they set the hook----YOU TOO CAN ENJOY THE SUPER-ABUNDANCE of GOD'S RICH SUPPLY, that HE desires for ALL of HIS children, BUT YOU have to be willing to "come-out" of the same-old-dead religiousity, to accept this "new-revolutionary"but scriptural thinking "for as he thinketh in his heart,so is he.--prov.23.vs.7---{they like to use this scripture a LOT} TO play on the word "think-eth"-----Funny & interesting tho the scriptures pre-ceeding vs.7--speak of riches making wings for themselves & the scriptures following vs.7--speak of

the dainty morsels of the rich causing sickness to those that "eat"those dainties------Most certainly those scriptures should have been a "warning" "IF" they had been read by those honest,sincere,seekers huh??

I for one think you should go for it and start a thread.

I have never been involved in that type of hmmmmmm....not quite sure what to call it anyways in that type of stuff (thanks to God) (if left to myself I'd be into all sorts)

But I have wondered and looked at it from a distance...it just never seemed quite right to me...

But I think it is needfull for young Christians (and older ones to) to know from those who have experienced 'that sort of thing' first hand what it's all about.

It is a good thing for us to be aware of Satan and his tactics so we are better able to 'watch and pray'

I would say I would have a lot to learn from your experiences.

We forgot that both of our VCRs were fried. We will have to buy another one before we do anything. We want to be able to quote verbatim before saying anything.

I had a PM from one board member saying that maybe we should talk to George before posting such a controversial subject.

We really would not want any arguments to come about because of this subject because we would be posting what came straight from these peoples mouth. Gary is very upset over what he has seen and heard also. We have both seen and heard these things in person, but now we have documentation as to what we had only thought we had heard and seen.

We will tell you in one ministry that the enemy so took over, that one woman was trying to take her blouse off and if the people with the blankets had not put a stop to it she would have taken it off. They stopped her several times. The preacher was laughing about it and was not talking about our God in what he said to her.

There was one man that was supposed to have been touched by the anointing and was flopping all over the floor so badly he looked like a fish out of water. This man was sent to a mental institution after the meeting. I told Gary that the man really was a fish out of water because Jesus is our Living Water.

Now before we go any further. This tape is very graphic as to what is being said. We will see if ya'll want to continue this any further from this one quote and if so, we will talk to George if that is what needs to be done and then buy another VCR if he allows this thread to be posted.

This one quote is from Kenneth Copeland. He is pretending to speak in tongues and is really saying, "Come take the mark of the beast."

Now, Gary and I both believe like the Bible says in tongues. That will not be an issue here. It would not matter how one felt about speaking in tongues today because this is not our God's tongues we are talking about.

This is but the tip of the iceberg so to speak.

If ya'll want to continue after that quote let us know before we go to George about it.

Hello there my brothers & sisters--Patsy & I wanted to ask "IF" there was & is a real desire to start a thread on the "word-of-faith-cult" with only "those" that had "first-hand-knowledge" of just exactly what this cult is, the members of it & the false teachings coming forth...."IF" there is a need & desire to become informed as to the deceptions, lies, & twisting of GOD'S WORD these false prophets are using to deceive GOD'S people & lead them into serious & damnable heresies, then only those that have been delivered from this cult should be the ones to teach & inform GOD'S people about these false-prophets---NO second-hand-gossip--NO -WeLL I heard that"????"----ONLY those that had been to the meetings, bought the tapes, taped the tv programs, bought the books & had been bilked out of very serious money & had their hearts broken when the LORD finally showed them that ALL these people that had called you brother & sister were really false-prophets, false-teachers, deceivers that were really only after your MONEY & then their ultimate goal was & IS to lead you into a "CULT" whose true leader is "satan--himself" & this false god is worshipped by these people & they want to HURT GOD by deceiving as many of GOD'S people as they can......that includes small children.......

I wanted to add more about people coming out of the WOF cult. Gary and I have a real burden for them. Often, if they have been in it for a very long they come out full of anger mostly at themselves and sometimes at God. They are ready to strike out at anyone or anything. They want to know what is going on and what has happened to them. They need someone to talk to. This is like coming out of any cult. There is so much pain as a rule when coming out. They have lost what they thought to be friends. They have been deceived and are very embarrassed about it. They do not understand that the enemy has invaded every aspect of their life, including the spiritual part. They need so much more love shown to them and we must remember that.

Also, the people that are caught up in the movement can become angry very quickly. That is because of the spirit behind this cult. As a rule their prayers are not being answered and they don't understand the reason why. They are giving money they don't have. There are many divorces over this. They use the mantras that are supplied to them by the WOF teachers, which is Scripture and this scripture is used out of context. Some quote scripture day and night and see nothing happening in their life. I am not just talking money here.

Don't forget, I have just started talking recently about this myself. I came on here like a ball of fire very leery about what anyone said. I didn't know how to talk to people anymore. I was afraid to praise the Lord very much because I didn't want to be using Mantras anymore. There are so many things that people don't understand unless they have been in this cult. The Lord has brought me to a real peace about my anger concerning these issues. Remember when Gary first came on the boards? He pretty well told people off also.
