yes, he will get someone to answer honestly. me!! (if i was smart, i'd be rich) i try and try, and some days i feel i am making real progress, then without warning, (sometimes) my flesh, does something really stupid, others may not even notice, but i do and i become embaressed, ashamed, whether anyone else noticed or not. sometimes i can actually put a series of days together, before doing something stupid. it does not always happen in front of the world. sometimes God and the spiritual world are my only witnesses, that's usually worse than anyone in the world knowing. none of these things are earth shattering and they probably won't tear the fabric of time, but they can be very discouraging to me, and i am not a new christian, just a christian trapped for the time in a fleshly body and that is formidable enough. but by the grace of God, i keep getting up and thanks to good christian friends and at times to the people on this board also, i believe i will be there in heaven at the end.

my original intended statement was, as to looking like a christian outwardly and struggling inwardly, yes that is true of me, not because i intend or try to deceive, but rather it is harder to be what i should be inside, than outside. although the outside is pretty rough at the edges too. i am thankful Jesus loves me enough to save me. for i once stood on the shores of the river styx, and the boatman was not far off. now somedays i am a good representative of what God can do for us filthy sinners and others, although i know i am better than i was, a whole lot better, somedays i'm not worthy of my hire.

i hope that answers your question, it is as honest of an answer as i can give.

Either way I answer is going to be awkward..

So if I say I am a true believer and keep my lamp oiled and am ready for my bride-groom then am I not (figuratively speaking) honking my own horn?

And if I say that I am nominal, then am I not saying that I am not quite ready and am waiting for the last minute. To top that, am I not saying that I am hypocrytical?

No I don't see this as a thread that will be fruitful but I do see it as a thread that will allow folks to become judgemental towards each other.

I am scared or undecided on this question. I have complete faith in JEsus christ.

I am a True Believer. I read the bible, and I do not add nor take away from its meaning. I have accepted the lord Jesus christ as my personal savoir. I have asked JEsus to forgive me for my sins.

I do go to church and worship the lord, and I teach.

All this does not make me any better than anyone else though.

All of us are sinners. All of us fall short of the glory.

ITS BY GOD"S GRACE we get the gifts of salvation, nothing else.

Faith and its wonder works are a gift from God.

NOthing I do is worth a grain of sand.

Its all God, he works though us when we ask him to do have the strength to do anything.

ITs all GOd, No one on this board not me, not you can say you do anything. ITS ALL GOD.

Glory for the lord, comes from inside, because GOD LOVES US.

"Religius without Christ" as he stated is not a Christian....

I believe the term "nominal Christian" here is a misnomer..

or in this context he states an oxy moron if you will...

I am a Christian...period...

A flock may gather reasonless and without a single care. Neigh the shepard be the one who brings them to the light. That he may sing joyously to the return of one lost sheep. In winter does the shepard stand alone in dead of night. Evermore bewilldered at the careless flock he weeps.

This is my answer

What are you talking about we will not live in heaven??? You need to read that over again. Christians meaning people that have asked Forgiveness of there sins and have accepted the lord Jesus christ as there savoir, will be in heaven. We will be able to be on the new earth, but we are also going to have a house of gold in heaven.

You can't support that with any Scripture. As I said read Rev. 21.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
