Hello Rick,

I'm William. I am 48 and I go by BlindSeeker which was my game name in playing against my children computer games. It is simply an oxymoron taken in jest and seems to generate a lot of negative jest by some of our other posters here.

I have five Children - all boys.

Hi Rick, I'm Candy, and next Thursday I will be the big 4-1. I am an ex-punk rocker (no kidding) who was saved by the skin of my teeth and God's mercy and grace before I could kill myself on sex alcohol and rock and roll.

I am very active in my church, which is a non-denominational Christian church called Southbrook. (www.southbrookchurch.com) I am on the praise and worship team and the drama team. Finally using the gifts as He intended, I am! I write and sing for the Lord and it is such a blessing to share Him in this way.

for money I run a laser hair removal company called Sona here in the Charlotte area.

I have a wonderful new husband (together only 6 years this fall!) and a 13 1/2 year old son named Jon. He saved my life when I became pregnant and stopped the R&R lifestyle, and now I'm saving his. Full circle, huh? God is wonderful that way.

I have been less frequently on the boards because I was not magnifying my Lord with the things and topics I was posting. I was being argumentative and human, and fell to pride on many occasions. I have spent many hours in prayer and will hopefully post more carefully and just let Him guide me.

I try to honor Him in all I do. I'm not worthy of His grace, but I sure do rely on it. :thumb:

Great to have you here, Rick.

Welcome to the Boards, Rick. :thumb:  I am 31 yo, I grew up a mixture of Southern Baptist and Charasmatic.  I was in rebellion for ten years, but I have a praying mom, and when I came back to the Lord, my husband and I made the decision to go to a Messianic synagogue.  We have a beautiful, talented 6 yo daughter.  I am active in the synagogue as a dancer and as the "Events Decorator".  I work as a clinical research coordinator in nephrology (kidney research).  My hsuband owns his own business helping people with their credit problems.  We are praying the Lord will bless the business so I can stop working outside of the house and take better care of the affairs of my family.

Hi Rick, my name is Jan and I live with my great husband of 25 years and our mentally handicapped foster son.  I have been saved since 1981 and attend an Assembly of God church-mostly because it is the most scriptural church I have found around here.  If I had my druthers-I would find a spirit-filled Messianic congregation.

I have one child who left us last year to go Home to the Lord, after graduating in April from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland Fl.  I have another child who is lost in the nether world of mental illness, so we have had our share of tears here, but God is faithful!  I enjoy these boards too and  find it a great way to dig into scripture.

Greetings Rick,

My name is Brian. I am from Cleveland, OH originally and currently live in Indiana. (Moved here for work.) I am 29 yo and I have been married for about a year and a half. No kids yet but we're planning on it.

I was raised in the Church of the Bretheren and was saved when I was 10 or 12. I don't have a definitive date. We currently attend a nondenominational Bible-teaching church that has been growing in the double digit percentages for the last several years. My wife and I are both active in the church. She teaches sunday school for the kids as well as helps with a midweek childrens ministry. I serve as a leader on the Welcome Team and I'm also a Deacon. I am currently training to be a teacher but I'm not sure that's an area where I'm gifted. Which is why I'm in training to find out.

Hi Rick,

I'm Sabra.  My husband's name is Rick, Ricky to me, we have 3 children. 2 year old boy, girls 7 and 10.  Ricky works 3 1/2 hours from home so I feel like a single mom most of the time.  He is usually only able to come home on Sat. night and leaves Sun. night or Mon am.  I'm praying about moving.  Have a great job and home here-it's tough.  I'm Office Administrator of a dental practice after 12 years of dental assisting.  (gonna be 34 Friday  )

I was raised Seventh day Adventist and spent most of my adult life outside of church with no conviction of anything religious.  I was saved and brought out of the SDA church last summer, praise God, and He has used me to witness to current, former and transitional SDA's.  My testimony is posted on several sites and I spend a considerable amount of time answering questions about the false doctrines of the SDA church.

We now attend a Southern Baptist church, I think I lean more towards Bapticostal (ha) if we move I will most likely seek a full gospel church.

I'm still in awe at the Grace of Our Saviour and His working in my life.  Praise be the Name of the Lord!

Good talking with ya!  Blessings and prayers!

PS My passion is singing.  Sing in the choir now, a positive change from the honky-tonk days, we live near Nashville so I've seen my share of dives trying to make it famous in this town, wrote and recorded a CD-dead end-God working again!

Hi Rick,

Welcome.  I don't post often, but I am God's "rebel" child--all that means is God loves me despite myself.

enjoy the boards!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
