If you truly believe that then you need to hot-foot it down to the nearest fertility clinic and adopt 10-15 of these zygotes and save them from destruction; otherwise, I do need them to go to researchers who are trying to find a cure for my child.

I hope they find a cure for my baby; an adult stem-cell cure would be great; so would cloning a new organ; so would umbelical cord stem-cells; they should use whatever they've got and not waste anything. If it's getting thrown away then it's being wasted.

NOTHING, those are great! So's cloning, so's umbelical cord stem-cells; I'm just saying use it all and don't throw anything away that can be used.

Do me a favor Nebula, the next time you talk to somebody who's braggin about their invitro baby ask them what happened to their left-over zygotes. If they've mentioned opposing embryonic stem-cell research then ask them why they'd rather throw away their left-overs instead of letting researchers use them. Ask them if they think they're being hypocrits and if they've got one set of standards for themselves and another set for someone else? If they bring "God's Will" into the conversation ask them if they think they violated "God's Will" for their barrenness. I'm gonna do this everytime I come in contact with somebody in this situation. BUT keep in mind, not everybody who gets invitro is against embryonic stem-cell research. I've seen a few interviews where people have said they wanted to donate their left-over embryos to research because they don't want a housefull of children and they want to help other people.

Hopefully they'll find a cure for your arthritis too. --- I just want people to think a little harder about this issue because now-a-days with the country being so divided on other politcal issues I think people go with whatever "side" their "leaders" take and don't think things thru sometimes. Also on this particular issue I think a lot of people have false information; some people think that these embryos come from partially aborted babies. A good thing that came out of the last Presidential election was that a lot of that notion was dispelled. Now that people realize that these embryos are being destroyed on a daily basis; that they're petri dish only; and that they're microscopic the majority has realized that it's unethical not to use them. I was surprised recently when my husband told me that an evanglical (extremely religious) co-worker told him he thought embryonic stem-cell research should be done; he'd seen my husband's license plate cover which reads "I support stem-cell research" and brought it up. My husband said he wasn't expecting this person to say that at all; it really stunned him so people on the far-right are starting to come around.

It would be great if Americans were able to return to the times when they could debate a subject politely and civilly. However, there has been since 2000 the methodical intent to divide this country politically and religiously. An entire presidential campaign was based on it and it was a huge success. Twice. Until this particular administration is out of office and replaced by another, regardless of the party, who is not nearly as calculating and self-serving nothing will change. Fortunately many from both sides of the political fence are now waking up and removing the wool from their eyes and are actually thinking for themselves again. The name calling and degrading rhetoric parroted can be attributed to what the radical extreme media representing each party has been spewing for years. Thank GOD there are only 911 days, 7 hours, and 5 minutes until the White House is purged of the thieves and criminals currently inhabiting it and America can get a fresh start. Democrat or Republican --- anything different will allow and encourage even the wounds of division to heal. Until then it's every man for himself.

wow for just a handful of people you've all made my head hurt!!!

Fact is God did not promise us a life without suffering here on earth

but for those who accept Jesus will be free of pain when they enter

His kindom.

Do I like to see children suffer no of course not. I have children

of my own.

I will say I am in no way for embrio ( misspelled probably) research

plain and simple it is human life awaitin the chance to be born.

I have no power to stop people from donating or using these embrios

but I will not pay for them to do so!

Why not if your so big on saving lives then push for the government

to make it affordable for all parents to save their own childs embilical

cord. Scientists and doctors have found it most beneficial in fighting

illness's the child may aquire later.
