I've had about 5 dreams that wakes me in awe. This was one of them, I had last week. I was out side looking at a brownish, cloudy night sky. Lighting streaked across it from right to lift as thunder roared. I just stood listening, for the longest when a angel came out of the sky and stood beside me. He asked me if I knew the voice of the thunder, I said no but I've heard of it somewhere. He then told me that this (The time I was living in) was the days of the seven thunders when they utter their voice. We continue to discuss this but all that was said I was unable to recall except for the one sentence. I felt awe during and after this dream. Do any of you have any ideals on the meaning. Just thought I would share.

I am thinking of the seven Churches in Revelations chapters 2-3. The brownish cloudly sky I believe represents dirtiness which typifies sinfulness.

What were the other dreams you've had?

Revelation 10:

(1) Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.

(2) He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

(3) and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke.

(4) And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down."

(5) Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven.

(6) And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay!

(7) But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."

(8) Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land."

(9) So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

(10) I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.

(11) Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings."

I'm not sure what the seven thunders could be. In light of revelation 10:3-4 "when the seven thunders spoke", I would have to say that these are God's judgements.

Initially I thought about the seven Churches which typify the ages of the Church to be the speaking of the seven thunders but this doesnt make much sense if the seven thunders speak at a certain time.

Felix, if I'm reading you right, lol, let me explain what I think on the subject. The seven churches were actual churches at the time of the writing, but the various churches also can be used as typical of "church ages" that will occur down through time. Perhaps the seven thunders could be somewhere along that line as well?

Hello Ronald,

Yes, it perhaps could be. I was thinking that the seven thunders speaking may be the seven Churches but I'm not sure. I know that the seven Churches in Revelations were actually churches addressed by John yet they may prophetically speak of the ages of Churches now. It wouldn't make much sense that the seven Churches (prophetically speaking; the age of Churches) would speak at the same time. The thunder seems more like God's judgement.

I'm convinced that the brownish color of the clouds represents dirtiness or sinfulness.

Could very well be! There are some things in Revelation that literally just jump out at you and you're like "oh, yeah, I get it!" and then other times, we are left wondering what in the world was said, lol!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
