Moslims believe that we cannot say God is sinless or sinful!! this judgement does not apply to Him!!!!

Mohammad, this makes no sense to me.

Sinlessness is the absence of sin. Sin is an act. Sinlessness is the absence of the act. It is not an act; it is the absence of the act. How does one judge the absence of an act? To say Jesus is sinless is simply to say that He is absent of sin. It is not a judgement. It is only repeating what HE revealed about HIMSELF.

Conversely but to make a point...

Mohammad, what do you say of darkness? Can the dark penetrate the light? Of coarse NOT. Darkness is simply the absence of light. It has no substance. Right?

Mohammad, you need the LIGHT. Jesus said that HE is the source of LIVING Water. He is the BREAD of Life. He is the source of LIGHT that penetrates the darkness and reveals the TRUTH. See it? Jesus is the TRUTH, the LIFE and the WAY. If you seek God with all your heart and soul, HE will make Himself real to you.

All you've done is post a link to a comic which has been drawn/created with the express purpose of mocking Islam, rather than actually analysing or critiquing it on any intellectual, historical or moral basis. Also, Wayne, I think mohammed was saying that human traits or judgements, either positive or negative, cannot be applied to god as humans see him, because he exists beyond human definition.

i was about to say that chick tracts are not the best way to foster discussion on subjects such as these. as a catholic, i am often disgusted with the way he portrays catholicism. although i know far less about islam, i know enough and have enough experience reading these tracts to know that muslims must be equally or more offended, given some of the outrageous claims and fallacies that even i can spot. have a little respect - that's the only way you're ever going to get a good dialogue.

and saying that god is not sinless/does not sin is theologically correct - it has echoes of what thomas aquinas meant when he said that "god does not exist." rather than being a nietzschean statement of atheism, it was a testament of faith - that god does not exist because god IS existence. all existing things have an essence; the essence of the divine is TO exist.

Quite right, to use any of Chick's tracks as an example only goes to reveal the level of the poster's intelligence. Jack Chick is a proven liar and his website spreads only fear and hatred. If Chick's brand of Christianity is validated than as Christian we are really in trouble.

I'm not Wayne.

However we humans can know what Gods charecter is and we can also define His traits.

He has defined this Himself through the Testimony of His Word. This is not a Mystery because God is knowable by us Humans. Will we ever be able to define Him completely? No, we simply aren't capable. However the beauty of the relationship with God. The very walking with Him. Is in the effect of ever growing in our knowledge of who He is. I heard it once said, That we will go on ever increasing in our knowledge of God right through eternity.

We humans do not even know who we are until we know who He is.

There is so much to know.

However to even begin to know God. You must accept the Truth of what He has revealed to mankind.

That you are indeed a sinner and seperated from God by your very own sin. Get past that hurtle first. Then you can Truly come to know God.

There is only One way to the Father.

To be God, you have to be sinless, that's why we sin, it is the opposite of God. But if that is what islam believes in, fine, after all we refer to a diffrent God, (I refer to the true and only real one God the Father, God the son(Jesus) and The Holy Spirit.)

it's true "like it or not?" chick doesn't even have the decency to communicate the correct doctrine of whatever religion he's teaching about. for example, in the catholic tracts he often has priests saying "I forgive your sins" etc. A Catholic priest would never use those words - it's always explicit that forgiveness is between you and God - the priest isn't the one who does anything, just acts symbolically as the "vessel." Nobody would ever claim that kind of power. That's just one example - some of the fallacies with Islam are far worse.

Your belief in chick as a source doesn't make the site content accurate. If you acknowledge the site has a weakness - exaggeration -and then fail to give evidence to support its verity otherwise, you're essentially saying "it's true because I say it is, I know it sometimes makes errors but its true." Methinks, Cellshade, that you would do well to open yourself to the possibility that you do not have all the answers; you do not know everything that is true or untrue as regards religion, Christian or otherwise, and that more than one person older than you who shares your faith and who has researched it thoroughly has disparaged chick as a site.
