"Voodoo hermeneutics" is claiming a connection between Zechariah 12 with James 1:1!

How about your references to Chrysostom and Justin Martyr??? Do they all of sudden not qualify as Church Fathers???? And yes, you do use them as gospel. You have constantly provided ALL of your sources as if they trump anyone who disagrees with you. You do this because you can't support your own position with your own hermeneutics (probably because you can't do hermeneutics, or you would have already). All you can do is quote other people. Typical of those who can't think for themselves.

Justin Martyr and Chrysostom always qualify among the

OK - maybe it's just me? But I don't see anything new in this thread. You all seem to be saying the same things over and over. It's rather like watching a tennis match. :o

Aren't you guys ready to take a break from this subject yet?

You cite them as gospel in the sense that you use them to "trump" anyone who disagrees with you. Like I said it is nothing more than an intellectual crutch. You're just a parrot reciting what other people say because you don't have any hermeneutic skills to demonstrate, otherwise you would have by now.

There is no rule against posting the truth taught by Spurgeon who like so many others understands who comprises the true Israel of God today. You can

I will not post anymore unless my honor needs defending or someone asks a direct question that needs to be addressed. :24:

I still have a few questions that never got answered.

How about telling us the spiritual application to the temple dimensions?

What do all of these dimensions mean?

If the Lord was not showing Ezekiel a physical temple, what is with these dimensions?

Why give them at all?

Why is the threshold of a spiritual temple one rod length wide, for instance?

You can begin here with the beginning:

Ezekiel 40

5 Now there was a wall all around the outside of the temple. In the man's hand was a measuring rod six cubits long, each being a cubit and a handbreadth; and he measured the width of the wall structure, one rod; and the height, one rod.

6 Then he went to the gateway which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gateway, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide. 7 Each gate chamber was one rod long and one rod wide; between the gate chambers was a space of five cubits; and the threshold of the gateway by the vestibule of the inside gate was one rod.

8 He also measured the vestibule of the inside gate, one rod.

9 Then he measured the vestibule of the gateway, eight cubits; and the gateposts, two cubits. The vestibule of the gate was on the inside.

10 In the eastern gateway were three gate chambers on one side and three on the other; the three were all the same size; also the gateposts were of the same size on this side and that side.

11 He measured the width of the entrance to the gateway, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

12 There was a space in front of the gate chambers, one cubit on this side and one cubit on that side; the gate chambers were six cubits on this side and six cubits on that side.

13 Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one gate chamber to the roof of the other; the width was twenty-five cubits, as door faces door.

14 He measured the gateposts, sixty cubits high, and the court all around the gateway extended to the gatepost.

15 From the front of the entrance gate to the front of the vestibule of the inner gate was fifty cubits.

From your answer I understand you are referring to the study leaders answer:

As has been pointed out, the sacrifices in both the Mosaic version and the version that will exist in Ezekiel's temple are purely memorial.

There is not the slightest hint found in the OT or the NT that Ezekiel

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? (Romans 3:1)

Paul asks and answers his rhetorical question. The gist of the question:

If the NT teaches that both Jew and Gentile are one "in Christ" and stand on exactly the same ground regarding judgment (and it does), and if God is no respecter of persons (and He is not)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
